[QUOTE="abuabed"]Because the graphics look completely disappointing on PC.Snyper-007How? Not sure of serious. But a PC demo should offer lots of graphics/tweaking options while Crysis 2 had only pre-fixed settings without even supporting DX10 or DX11. Compared to Crysis 1 it is a big letdown even for a demo.
Because it turns out the most PC gamers use crysis as a benchmark more than a game.i5750at4GhzCrysis 2 will score AAAA on PC. Quote me on that

Because it turns out the most PC gamers use crysis as a benchmark more than a game.i5750at4GhzI actually agree. The main issue appears to be graphics.

And here I thought it was reasonable to compare a sequel and its predecessor.
Either way here's basically the break down for everyone.
PC gamers think they got a console port (So far nothing says otherwise)
PS3 gamers got a shoddy port. (Taken from IGN)
X360 gamers didn't get the graphics king they wanted (I suppose they don't really have anything to complain about).

More than reasonable. But you guys aren't comparing the two GAMES you're comparing the two GRAPHICALLY and GRAPHICALLY only.Because it turns out the most PC gamers use crysis as a benchmark more than a game.i5750at4Ghz
LMAO. We want a game that will blow us away and mesmerizes us like Crysis 1 did with not just it's graphics but it's vast environments. We want a game that raises the bar again. Crysis 1 raised the bar from Far Cry. We expected Crysis 2 to raise the bar from Crysis 1. Judging by what's been released so far it looks like it's a step backwards. Why can't you understand that?

Because I've played the game. And its a step forward in almost every way. Except the change in gameplay, the console field of view, the lack of graphics options, the lack of dx10/11, defaulting to aim assist on the pc, "push start to begin", cod style gameplay, encrypted config file (Crysis without graphics mods... lol), dumbed down nano suit, horrible AA, bloom and blur, sloppy server browser that doesn't work properly, gun takes up half the screen, lower quality textures than cry1, and much much more. The only positives are the incredible lighting and the more varied (but restricted) gameplay.Because it turns out the most PC gamers use crysis as a benchmark more than a game.i5750at4GhzBecause it's a step back in many ways, not to mention it feels like a bad console port. This is FEAR 2 stuff.
Also, the game doesn't run well on consoles, it look's ugly too. (on consoles) The controls aren't responsive on consoles. I can't see who can be pleased with it.
Graphics aren't impressive except that it looks good on low-end machines.
Gameplay sucks.
Multiplayer sucks.

I am talking about the graphics aspect and size of the levels. While come all these PC gamers aren't WOWED by it like they were with Crysis 1?
Graphics are incomplete, hard to judge it off the incomplete beta. However the multiplayer demo looks much better than Crysis wars ever did. Size of levels is comparable to the original. PC gamers aren't WOWED because most decided to have a negative attitude toward the game as soon as it got released as a multiplat.[QUOTE="i5750at4Ghz"]Because it turns out the most PC gamers use crysis as a benchmark more than a game.Espada12

I've seen these reasons somewhere.:P[QUOTE="abuabed"]Because the graphics look completely disappointing on PC.Snyper-007How? BEcause instead of upgrade the amazing graphic engine of Crysis 1 and have another "benchmark" for DX11 cards they made a "lighter" engine for consoles port. LIGHTER than the one used 3 years ago. Thats not upgrade. Thats Downgrade.

It's a step down in every way, expect that Crysis 2 has these fancy effects up in your face, making the game a blury mess.
the PC version is very bad
Graphics are worse than Crysis 1
its poorly optimized for dual cores (using over 90% at all times)
the AA doesnt work very well, its a jagfest
FOV has been dumbed down for consoles
Auto-Aim present on the PC Demo
Brown and Bloom, the textures are quite bad, the bloom hides it
DX9 only
Call of duty clone
Console port
Gamespy account needed
anymore to add?
That is pretty much what it's boiling down to. PC gamers were hoping that Crysis 2 was going to look even better than the original. But with it being multiplat, anyone that knows games and hardware would know it wasn't going to be that epic graphics king game they wanted.Because PC gamers were looking for a game to justify their $500 graphics card purchase and now they are disappoint.

Not everyone has a 500$ card. The ones that do are happy playing games in 2560p. Or maxing out Arma II or Metro 2033 Not to mention Shogun II coming out this month, which will make my PC cry.Because PC gamers were looking for a game to justify their $500 graphics card purchase and now they are disappoint.

] You are not a PC gaming owner of original Crysis , what to discuss with you here? But ok lets make it interesting. Let me do a question to you then...
HOW comes 3 years ago , consoles couldnt handle a game called CRYSIS!?
And how comes after 3 years they can easily handle , the NEWEST engine? Did you ever wonder that ?
Why you talking about DX10 , a DirectX more than 5 years old or something like its something awesome...!! lol... Just go play crysis man and then play crysis 2 demo maybe youll understand then

I'm also a PC gamer and Crysis is one of my favorite games.

PC gamers are just angry that it is not exclusive. rybe1025
The game on play looks bewond awful; is a mixture between the worst AA systemn ever (TAA) over the top-blinding HDR saturation, tinny FOV and huge weapon model covering your view; the abusive motion blur makes almost impossible to see your environment in the multiplayer when you run.
The game has less options than Pong.
The gameplay is Crysis nerfed: your supersuit makes you super-slow, and you are weaker than a standard Bad Company soldier.
The multiplayer fall from 32 to 12 players and the servers doesn't properly works; is almost a miracle to join in a match and seems that it's going worse along more and more people is playing the demo.
Legit complains? I have no problems with non-exclusives: BC 2 was my favourite game last year.
I don't know why everyones complaining about the size of the levels. From what I played in Crysis 2, the levels are still large, they just don't feature tons of filler (running along a beach for 2 minutes staring at nothing but the same trees copy and pasted everywhere). City enviroment =/= Jungle enviroment. Ofcourse there's going to be parts where you're running through office blocks. Crysis 2s enviroments are FAR more interesting than Crysis 1s enviroments, and I've only played the first couple of levels of the Crysis 2 beta.
In Crysis you are thrown into this realistic massive fully interactive environment filled with enemies. I loved sneaking around, cruising with boats, taking different approaches. It wasn't just, shoot from chest high walls and wait for the next cinematic (like Crysis 2 looks like from video's I've seen)I don't know why everyones complaining about the size of the levels. Crysis 2 (SP. dont care about MP) looks incredible. I hardly think anyone who say "it looks crap or it doesnot looks good" Should be an expert on what good game consist of.SNIPER4321Not getting it with DX9 only support, my LAST videocard even had DX10, wtf is this? I'm cancelling my pre-order tomorrow, not because of the graphics thing, but because they obviously give more of a **** about console gamers, its EMBARRASSING for the sequel to the 4-year graphics king to come with DX9 only, something that is OLDER than the previous Crysis. By the time they get out DX11 support, maybe it will be cheaper. :)
