Why all the hate for PC Gamers?

no i can not. i am a pc gamer my bias is fairly. clear. in my personal belief pc gaming is better. expect thats pc gaming as in gaming on the pc not the pc gaming experience. ive already outlined the differences between the experiences. as far as the core console and core pc experience goes, i prefer the pc but i will not say its the better of the two. if that makes any sense.

Pretty much the same goes for me, except with the PS3. Quality does not mean a thing if the quality games that are being made have little to no interest to me. I don't feel the need to do my gaming on a PC, and I will probably always feel that way

see for you its games for me its the experience, theres plenty of console games that draw my attention but its simply not worth it for me to be a console gamer. it wasnt worth it when i bought my pc to sacrifice the experience.

but like i said the experiences are different not better. i do believe that the pc is the best option to devlop on and for. and is essentially the perfect platform since the console experience can be fully replicated on the pc yet the pc experience cant be emulated on the consoles. but thats a debate for another time

The real difference is that, out of all the fanboys, it's the PC gamers that try to tie others' platform choice to negative personal traits. Often, I hear:

• Console gamers are too poor to buy a PC
• Console gamers lack the technical knowledge to use a PC
• Console gamers lack the attention span to appreciate the depth of games on PC
• Console gamers stay with consoles because they've never tried a PC game

And when you provide a counterexample of a console gamer with the money, know-how, and a history of PC gaming, the backpedaling begins:

• You are an exception
• You have a gaming PC, so we're not talking about you

and my personal favorite:

• You must be lying

Now, you'll see some of this from the Wii fanatics, usually along the lines of "you're not mature enough to appreciate games without gore and cursing", and the PS3 fans used to pull the "you must be poor" bit, but by and large, the conceit that one's choice of gaming platform marks them as a superior person and others as inferior comes from PC fans.

I don't have hate for PC gamers, but I imagine for those who do, that it's largely due to the extreme arrogance displayed by PC gamers.

No, All I'm saying is I PREFER a bigger screen than a smaller screen when I play my games.

And if you try READING some of the posts here, if it's any indication to you, MOST (not all) PC gamers areelitists or at least claim to be. And again, it doesn't really bother me. They can have a super computer that plays up-to-date PC games and at the same time can teleport anyone to dimension Z, I still could care less. But more power to them.
