Why Are People Justifying M$ Charging For Used Games?

I dont get it. Its not okay regardless of how you try to put it.

I think people need to wait until they hear the full details before really judging something. There's been a lot of rumours making things sound worse than they might end up being, but frankly it's entirely Microsofts fault for not properly clarifying how stuff is going to work, you can't just make statements that half explain something which is CLEARLY going to make a ton of people upset.

I'm hoping that at the worst it's just something similar to online passes only built into the console. Sony have already said used games would be up to the publisher, it could be exactly for the same for MS, they've just been failing miserably at explaining it, you put a used disk in, the console detects it and depending on the game it acts accordingly.

Stop acting like a victim that must take what these companies give you.  You have options, they have none beyond what you give them to get your $$$ (which is their sole purpose).  If you choose to support platforms without anti-consumer practices, the games will follow.

I don't think anyone is trying to justify it. How could you? Any kind of used game fee is bad for gamers.

What is rather funny though is how when Sony was doing the same kind of thing with it's first party online passes. The PS3 fanboys were trying to justify how it was a good thing. Since used games were so evil, and buying them stole food from the mouths of the developers children, etc. Of course now that MS is doing it, now it's a bad thing. Thread after thread must be made denouncing this evil.

How many 8th gen consoles are there again?  You seem to keep implying two, and that's wrong.  You seem to think since MS is going this route the others Must follow, and Nintendo has shown that to be wrong.  Do you like being wrong?

Sony most likley won't do this, it goes against their whole stragegy so far.. if they were going to they would of done it to vita. And don't say it will be mandatory becuase of publishers because the wii-u isn't doing it... So for right now its just a pipe dream by lemmings to level the playing field.

It doesn't make sense though, you would think they would be like: "ok this xbone sucks, and I won't support it"... instead they are like "this xboneis gonna loose and i want gmaing to go down the toilet so I wish the PS4 would make the same mistakes so my savior ms will when the console war and give us more tv and call of duty."...lol

SONY will do whatever the hell they want to do... It is not up to the devs. You really think the devs wont release games on the PS4 because of different policies? Especially if SONY has a larger install base? Man people are ignorant.

Different companies have different policies. Microsofts policies will most likely not be followed by SONY especially after they already confirmed used games would exist. The most likely ting is that SONY will use online passes with the devs who want them. I have no problme paying $10 to activate an online pass... that is WAY different then one account per game and full price if you want a different account.

SONY has already said they would "do the right thing" everybody knows what the righ thing is... MS is NOT doing the right thing. MS's NEW game sales will suffer because of their policy. SONY will sell MORE new games by keeping used games in the mix because they will have the larger fanbase this gen.
