Why are some of us calling PSP a failure?

It is not selling more than ds, and it didn't kill Nintendo. But on the other hand it is not the next gamegear, and it didn't flop like ngage.

it has more AA+ games than DS.

i own both handhelds and i say it it's not failure then all sheep will bash you because they hate the pspTnasty11

Me too, I always liked the psp more than DS, And always played it more than DS. Yes it is not selling like it should, but that does not make it a failure.

flop here is missing the expectations. the expectations of the psp were to be #1 and kill the DS. it's a total flop in that regard.

Instead of 5:1 sales it gets 1:2 sales... Quite a big difference..

ngage got no hype here though. we all expected it to die. I don't think psp will become like ngage but it was never expected to.

Na the DS came out about a month earlier (depends in what region).

Apparently a Sony system has to outsell it's competitors by 50million units in order to be considered a success on here.

See here's the thing Sheepies say PSP is a failure. Nintendo has more WAY more experience with handhelds than SONY. And for the first time in the handheld market SONY is doing pretty good. Maybe with the PSP 2 or whatever the next one will be SONY will fix those problems.....So it ain't a failure Nintendo is better at handhelds than SONY and Microsoft combined.

there is some damage control going on in this thread. The PSP is a major flop. PSP fans are just gamecube fans 5 years later, unable to accept their POS flop
