I feel like nobody talks about how heavily Uncharted 4 and TLOU: Remastered were packed in with PS4s this gen. God of War, Spiderman and Horizon as well, for that matter.
But specifically UC4 and TLOU. Them shits have been so heavily bundled with PS4s for like the past 5 years, its damn near impossible to get a PS4 (especially during the holidays/black friday) without it coming packed in with at least one of those 5 games, if not 2 or 3.
Ive feel like I saw that same UC4 + TLOU bundle in stores for like 3 black fridays/holidays in a row. And similar with GOW + Spiderman + Horizon, or some other combination of those games.
Why do Sony's games sell, well they make games for casuals and Sony's fans are fully indoctrinated.
Also once you finish them you walk away as they are one & done games, with no co-op or MP.
You can always replay on a higher difficulty or go after side missions and collectibles. Not everyone cares about having tacked on multiplayer. That can end up making the game worse.
I love my PS4 but i would guess market share plays a huge roll. There is a guesstimate of over 100million PS4’s in the wild, double the number of Xbox One consoles. I would expect Sony games to sell more on audience size alone.

Yup, needs depth and more oomph at least. Every time I shiv someone in the throat in Tlou2 I put this Judge Dredd face on, pure instinct, then I laugh at myself. That's oomph.

With 2yrs left in the gen? Sony has been lagging in mp content for 99% of its first party games for the WHOLE gen.
Well on Xbox you have games like Halo, Gears, Forza that have excellent mp modes where people actually buy gold to play them, just because no one on Sony's side of the fence pays for mp doesn't mean Xbox gamers don't.

Sony give their creative directors a lot of freedom and time to create the best experience. Sony games do not seem like they’re are designed by committee and Sony is not afraid to delay a game to meet their quality standard. They value originality and personal story telling.
Sony has never been too obsessed with microtransactions. Other producers force their developers to make artificially grindy games. But Sony has always focused more on making the core experience as good as possible.
Sony is the best producer by far imo. That is why Ps5 is a must for next gen.

The original Last of Us did have a multiplayer. Naughty Dog focused on expanding the single player campaign, and that worked out well for them. Uncharted 4 has a full length campaign (15 hours) plus co-cop and multiplayer. You keep saying Sony is one and done, but according to your logic, every single player game is one and done. Sony released a game called Dreams. That has a huge online community component to it. Let's be honest here - you've never said anything good about Sony games lol. It's pretty clear you have a bias. I played Halo 5 - the Halo 5 campaign has always been criticized for being pretty lackluster. Gears campaign doesn't get highly praised either.

Yes all SP games are one & done, unless playing it on higher difficulty levels adds new enemies, levels etc. However not many games ever do that they just add an extra enemy in each scene and they take more bullets to kill which makes replaying the game boring.
You bring up Dreams lol, it has an online component that proves my point that Sony are just lazy when it comes to MP, I mean the component you're talking about is made by the community in which Sony pays nothing for, in fact they charge you for game devs tools and allow other gamers to download your creations to play, more rorting by Sony. And that game only has couch co-op, no need to pay for PS+ for that and Dreams has a 4hr campaign, you're actually strengthening my case lol.
Whether Gears or Halo's campaigns are praised or not they're still have high production values as you put it, pretty much all AAA games do.

You should have mentioned Ratchet & Clank. That formula is still fun and refreshing among the list you posted. Or Bloodborne, even tho the performance sucks. Those are truly fun games.
