Why can Killzone not get as much recognition as other popular shooters today

It was the Doom 3 of consoles. Good graphics (relatively speaking of course since console graphics are garbage) and nothing else.

i mean its just a graphical masterpice.....but thats where it stops. i mean REALLY thats where it stops...theres absolutely NOTHING else to it. i dont even care about the characters nor their reasons for fighting. literally everything else is forgettableslvrraven9

Because the competition exceeds in way more areas than just graphics.

Bingo.. there's no originality in it. I'm saying this as a ps3 owner that own KZ3. The game borrows things from so many other games, and has no real identity of it's own.

well, apparently the first one is crap, (never played it myself, but everyone says it is) the second one was really great but a lot of people didn't like it because of the more heavy, realistic movement and controls (noobs :P ) and the 3rd albeit a really good game - took out a lot of things, has a far worse multiplayer component than #2, and is pretty much a clone of call of duty as far as controls and recoil go. something that dissapointed me greatly :(

so really the only great one was killzone 2.

I tried to play KZ 2 it was terrible, I had to force myself through the campaign and the MP was just awful.

In my opinion,the first was a mediocre game,the second was better but marred by atrocious controls. Dunno about the third,but going by reviews and all those people that say it´s a downgrade from the second one,then I guess overall the franchise just isn´t as good as others.

I think Killzone series doesn't get the recognition of other popular shooters today because, quite frankly, I feel it doesn't deserve it. The series is a big meh with flashy visuals.
