I live in Alabama, and are you really bringing that tired argument to the table? You guys can't be serious? Where do you live where everyone can afford a 2,000 dollar computer?

Most gaming PC's can be had for MUCH less than that. You can get a kickass one for $800. Mine was $600 in 2009You guys can't be serious? Where do you live where everyone can afford a 2,000 dollar computer?

I did. It's how I got my gaming PC. But not everyone has a high-end job.

Yea I'm sure you have a gaming PC [QUOTE="Firebird-5"]all my friends own pcs thoughedidili
Not all of mine do but the ones who I actually think are worth playing with do. All my friends who don't game on the PC just play Call of Duty...
In short:Only a handful of my friends have a Ps3. I'm not going to buy a system/PC just because more of my friends have it. Need people to play with? You'll meet people in games, you can join a clan aswell. Weak argument TC.Randoggy
I meant real friends. The kind that you wave to in work or school.
If only people didn't have this mindset when it comes to PC gaming. There be would less envious people on this forum on a daily basis. You guys can't be serious? Where do you live where everyone can afford a 2,000 dollar computer?

Completely agree with you, I don't know why people don't account for money saved on Steam. What also bugs me is how some people I know who game on a 360 and say my PC was too expensive have underpowered Macs that cost $400 more than my PC.

So you buy stuff just because your friends have it? I would be stuck with a 360 right now and nothing but Call Of Duty if that was the case. I get what I want, big deal if you friends don't have it.[QUOTE="ROFLCOPTER603"][QUOTE="Randoggy"]Only a handful of my friends have a Ps3. Moving around and assembling furniture is a high end job?
........ Wow. Obviously you're NOT a PC gamer... or this is just a troll... I've been PC gaming my whole life. I don't own any consoles. I own my PC which, most of my friends... Own a PC.All of your friends own consoles. 1 friend to play with >63 randoms and good graphics.

Must be. You certainly can't be poor and own a gaming rig.

man, thats life buddy. why not improve your future prospects instead of whining on a forumI'm gonna go old school on this debate...
If all your friends jumped off a bridge, plummeting to their death, would you do it too?
Peer pressure debate is highly flawed.
Mystic-G
There's no peer pressure involved. No one ever tries to influence me to play 360.

Said job makes around 12-13 an hour. Friend who owns said job owns a playstation3, an xbox 360, a Wii and a gaming computer purchased for $1200 CDN about 2 years ago.

So tell me, what about friends playing other things make it better? I guess if my friends listened to lady gaga, that automatically makes her better than anyone else I listen to.So tell me, what about friends playing other things make it better?
Ask yourself that question first.
For me, I like the social part of it. It's the same game (minus the graphics) whether it's on PC or 360, but if I play on 360 I get to talk to my friends.
I guess if my friends listened to lady gaga, that automatically makes her better than anyone else I listen to.
Didn't we already throw away the "jump off a bridge" argument?
Your name says it all TC...Arach666

A lot of us have friends that don't even live in the same region. None of my local friends play games at all. Only my brother does and he lives in Germany while I live in Alabama. We still game together. My gaming friends used to be a bunch of strangers but we became friends through gaming. This is true for all three of my gaming platforms. You guys can't be serious? Well, in that case then my PC and both my consoles fail me completely. None of my local friends are gamers. So, in my case, which should be my preferred gaming platform? The one with the most people I know or the one with the most people I've met through gaming and enjoy playing with? Please Log In to post.
