Why didn't the PC have a single GOTY Exclusive Gen7?

I was thinking about the odds and probabilities. Since the pc has "the most games," you'd think it would stand the chance of snatching the most goty awards. But they didn't even nail one. Does this mean that pc, while having the largest library of games, has also the largest library of non goty worthy games?

PC - 0

360 - 1 (at the time of winning, Gears was exclusive)

Wii - 1

PS3 - 3

No, PC is just held up at a higher standard than console games. Greg Kasavin was talking about this a while back, which was why there were no 10.0 PC games at the time.

why it should ? Amount of Goties doesn't determine the quality of the entire game library.

Because PC has a weak exclusive library for the type of games that gets the vast majority of GOTYs. Singleplayer, storydriven, third/first-person, high production values, RPG/Action-adventure types of games.

PC is more about MP, strategy, MMO, top down view, indie and so on.

It probably should have for either LoL or Dota2, although they're flagrantly similar.

Yeah but for whatever reason competetive games never win GOTY. Racers, sport, MOBA, FPS MP etc, they all have zero chance.

I disagree. Goties are like Oscars. Not all Oscars films are fun to watch though. If Goties were determined by popularity, then Dota 2 or Lol would win.
