Why do consolites hate PCs when next gen platforms ARE PCs?

I know that you aren't so discriminating against consoles (nice gal that you are) :)

But how many threads do we see daily to the effect of;
"consoles just suck"
"consoles are for noobs"
"how can you put up with inferior games?"
"why haven't you switched to PC???"

and the numerous topics that are essentially campaigns of "conversion". Now THAT is religious zealoutry right there.

And yes on the flip side there's the non-stop "PC is dying" or disingenuous assertions of how PC gaming costs "$4000 with $500 annual upgrading". My point is that there's plenty of slander found on both sides of the fence.

I have, it's these console gamers that can't seem to get over it and are infatuated by the PC.

consoles are dedicated gaming machines (PCs for the specific purpose of gaming) and always have been.  Gaming on PCs NOT designed for the general purpose of gaming is an option but most people don't like dealing with all the issues that come with those types of systems when all they want to do is play games.  

There are alot of reasons why people perfer consoles, for example, most people also like the idea of purchasing a piece of hardware and not having to worry about changing or upgrading it for the next 5 to 10 years just to play the latest games.   It's cool if none of the issues that come with gaming on a general purpose PC brings bothers you but it doesn't make anyone dumb or stupid just because they perfer gaming on a consoles...they probably have just as good reason as you do for preferring gaming PCs.

I don't get it, you said you don't want to upgrade every 5 to 10 years, but don't you do that anyways with consoles? 

And PC gaming hardly has any issues. Digital Download programs like Steam make it incredibly easy to game on PC.

Seriously, people say that you need to upgrade every 2 years but even an 8800GTX (a card released in 2006) can run newest games just fine.

All it takes is $100 to get a GTX 650 Ti and you can run every game 1080p 60fps. I'm all for opinions, everyone obviously gets the platform that suits them best, but saying that constant upgrades and errors are problems on a PC are just flat out wrong.

Because I made a deliberately dumb thread to bait people into it and it seems to have paid dividends because guys like you took it so seriously when the whole thread was nonsense from the beginning. 

You're the one that asked how does it change what you said and I answered, what more do you want? In your eyes no one has the ability to change their mind, writing habits, views or even opinions and once you say one thing you're glued to it forever. That's why i get at you for the Dishonored thing, because it's fine to go both ways but you constantly trying to downplay your PC side and defend all the consolites and be part of their movement because you don't like PC fanboy hermits.

No, to force you to admit that there are valid differences on how PCs and consoles implement various concepts, and that it's entirely possible to prefer consoles regardless of intelligence, financial status, or age.
