I agree because hermits often break the rules. If they want their console to be cheap they paste the sh1ttiest cheap rig build ever. But when they want dem graphix they post screen shots from what are obviously not cheap ass models that they would have people believe can do everthing a super rig can do. There are no defined specs or gens there just isn't any way to argue against the merits of a PC because they can just claim to have which ever build suits their argument at a specific moment.

I believe the concept of "system wars" is not productive because among all "systems" (including PC's, consoles, iPads, handhelds etc) PC is the best.

So when you make a forum called system wars, you might as well just call it "PC schits on everything else."

That leaves nothing to actually discuss.

PC vs Mac vs Linux is a discussion

Ati vs Nvidia is a discussion

Because a lot of the discussion were about graphics and the wii didn't come into play. Doesn't mean Wii doesn't have a place in SW.

If the TC wants a console-centric Web site, he can apply a little CSS knowledge to make his own site with his own rules (console-only). In the meantime, this is System Wars in Gamespot. It goes by platforms/systems and games, not generations. It goes by Gamespot's rules not the TC's.

System wars has always been about console generations. I do not mean GS system wars, but actual system wars. It is a war between console generations, PC has nothing to do with it.

This isn't totally true. As most consolites wouldn't allow the ownage between comparing the PS3 and Wii. Also, the PC games on the AAA/AA/A chart were added since the year the 360 was released.

A PC does not have any gens. There is no point where a PC gen starts and ends, nor is it comparable to the consoles at all. The whole point is that the playing field is equal to each party, and that games define the winner of each gen (also sales by some definitions)

None of this is true. A PC from 2001 couldnt play Shattered Horizon and how are two systems capable of playing video games not comparable at all?

If you wanted an equal playing field then the PS3 should never be discussed since its mutliplats play worse and it has less exclusives than the 360 and neither system should be in any sales topics because the Wii has absolutely dominated due to gimiky nature.

And you're right, games are the reason why people come here to SW. And herp a derp, my PC plays games.

So why do PC owners feel the need to take part in something:

1) They cannot enter

By definition, my PC is a system and it plays games...

2) They cannot win

It plays games better than any console on the market, I have access to more genras, games, exclusives...

3) They cannot lose.

It doesn't play PS3/360 exclusives nor does it have an AAAA game...

PC should be banned from SW's. Technically it already is, it has no place in it. No 'gen' has ever included PC, nor has any gen of system wars. System wars is defined by consoles.
