If and when it comes to the PS3, I'll get it. CDP said that they will probably do a PS3 version once the Xbox 360 port is complete. So TW2 for the PS3 in mid or late 2012?
YEa but so far it's a console exclusive for the xbox360, right??
meatgrinderz
this isn't console wars. it's system wars.
Hype dies off after any initial release, honestly don't expect the 360 version to sell all that well.

When comparing PS3 to 360, why shouldn't a game that is only on the 360 or PS3 be used in an advantage? Being on PC as well doesn't change that it is a game that the 360 has and the PS3 doesn't.[QUOTE="meatgrinderz"]

So what?? It's still a + for the Xbox 360's library when compared to the ps3's library, which are the two most often compared systems here. Just because it's also on pc doesn't make that irrelevent.

Of course we can. This is system wars, but not "Every single system ever made in existence must have a spot in every single argument wars". What is the reasoning for including the PC in a thread strictly comparing the game libraries of the PS3 and 360?Its on PC end of story, as others has said this is system wars not console wars, to exclude the oldest gaming platform is just silly.

Therefor its open field and the "console exclusives" doesn't apply.

Having the witcher 2 on the PC does not change that it is on the 360 as well, and if someone just wants a comparison of the PS3 library vs the 360 library, the Witcher 2 counts in the 360 library. It is that simple.Because it's not exclusive. Even if you want to claim that it is "console exclusive", it probably won't be that way for long. It will come to PS3 eventually. Until then, I definitely see it as an advantage for 360 vs PS3 like Mass Effect used to be for me.
You make a good point. From now on, TW2 will be included in all discussions regarding the 360.

Yet that does not change that it is a game in the 360's library that the PS3 does not have, the game would still count as an advantage over the PS3's library. If someone started a thread trying to decide what console to buy, who did not have a gaming computer, and simply wanted a comparison of the 360's library vs the ps3's library, then why in the would would you continue yammering about how the game doesn't count as an advantage for the system because some system the guy doesn't even have can also play it?

the option can always be mentioned to him.
 Hahaha apparently a game thay came out on PC first and primarly developed for it the being ported to Xbox 360 still counts as a Xbox 360 "Exclusive" because it isn't on the PS3. Wow rubbing a game in PS3 gamers face as if the only way you can play it is on a Xbox 360. Hmmm I don't see PS3 gamers shwoing off DC Universe and it's PC/PS3.
Apparently if it;s ok for Xbox 360 gamers to claim a game that is exclusive like, L4D, First templar, Ninja Blade, Mass Effect 2 (before it got ported to PS3 recently), Splinter Cell Convinction, and what not but PC gamers can't do it. What's next are you guys going to claim minecraft as a Xbox 360 exclusive even though minecraft will pretty much require a computer from at least this century.

Hi Casey! Anyways, I don't agree with you at all.
The PS3 and the 360 are the most similar when it comes to price, game libraries, functionality etc so they are going to be compared the most of all the systems out there. With that in mind, people are gonna wanna compare the games in the PS3 and 360 constantly, the term "console exclusive" makes complete sense here. If I wanted to point out that the Witcher 2 was available on 360 but not on PS3 then should I come up with a new term? "PS3 elusive", how does that sound? not very good imo.
how about the upcoming Shadows of the Damned being a "PC elusive"?
It's ultimately just a silly disagreement on names.

Not really if its a topic outside discussion of the "war".
And to add to this arguement, System Wars assumes every system is a contender but thats just not true here, handhelds, ios devices etc are disregarded by the majority in SW and its really only about the 360, PS3, PC and Wii.
Maybe i'm the only one who sees it like that, but if not, its a bit hypocritical to claim all systems are always relevant in every discussion.
P.S: That PS3 "Elusive" idea is pure genius, i'm using it from now on :P

What you're saying makes sense, but in system wars, the term "console exclusive" is looked down upon. If you're comparing strictly the 360's library vs the ps3's library, of course the Witcher 2 counts just like MLB: The Show or whatever game system wars has put an asterick on. You just have to word it without saying "exclusive" and you're good.
