Sony is offering value. Drive Club will be free for PS+ members at launch which pays for a sub by itself plus all the other free games that follow. M$ charges for everything including netflix and gives people nothing in return.

There are no other exclusive features to the service. People pay to unlock multiplayer in games they already paid for and access a netflix app that they are already paying netflix for.

the psn news was great news to me.

maybe with some money coming in sony can make psn on par with xbl.

maybe they will feel a sense of ownership over it as opposed to just letting devs put in as much or as litttle effort as they feel like putting in.

having a robust online infrastructure was one of the greatest strengths of the xbox and 360 the ps4 being able to match it is a huge deal.

M$ hasn't released anything for 360 other than Halo and Forza for years so of course they can put all their resources into a new console launch. Sony is supporting 2 consoles and we both know PS4 will have a better life than X1. When M$ stops making games in a year or 2 Sony will still be pumping out games 7-10 years down the road.

I don't think this thread is too old.  Only May of 2013.  So I'll go ahead and bump it for SW enjoyment.
