Personally I don't try to argue PC gaming is cheaper; as I go by the "you get what you pay for" mentality, it's just not as expensive as allot of people love to spin it as.

Take for instance my recent quad core upgrade, someone would spin that as a required cost of PC gaming. I've played every game up to the purchase of this quad on a dual core, I didn't need a quad core, I got a quad core because I wanted one.

You don't have to play all your games at 1080p, people just want to. If I didn't mind something like 1440x900, which is still higher than 720p, the cost of PC gaming is much lower.

Consoles have the TRICK OF DISTANCE....when youre laid back on the couch and the screen is far...you wont notice half the detail....Now on the PC its much more obvious....True_Gamer_
Ha, so true, some consolites say they don't see jaggies in certain games when they should know damn well that they are there if you look closer and are in every console game, maybe next gen consoles will have 8-24xAA hopefully. I use my PC monitor to play 360 and PS3 games and it's noticable at close range.

You don't GOTTA upgrade anything, why PC games are awesome is because of different graphical settings.
