Personally I don't try to argue PC gaming is cheaper; as I go by the "you get what you pay for" mentality, it's just not as expensive as allot of people love to spin it as.
Take for instance my recent quad core upgrade, someone would spin that as a required cost of PC gaming. I've played every game up to the purchase of this quad on a dual core, I didn't need a quad core, I got a quad core because I wanted one.
You don't have to play all your games at 1080p, people just want to. If I didn't mind something like 1440x900, which is still higher than 720p, the cost of PC gaming is much lower.
