I'll add, "Because you don't own an XBox One."
The game looks incredible and doesn't look boring at all to me. The Wild looked more boring to me.
Well you see, as we started designing the game........................................seriously why ask a bunch of people on an internet forum?
Because it's not on PS4.

The OP wasn't really trolling was it.
I dont find it hard to believe that some who own a Xbone would not be interested in the game. It's impossible for a game to appeal to everyone.
I am, but I'm waiting to see the TV show integration.
the only thing that put me off of QB gameplay was that time manipulation made the game soooo damn easy ...other than that i think it have great gameplay very similer to The order 1886 but with much less graphics
Because its Alan Wake without his flashlight.
god, i hated that game alot ...so damn boring
Much less graphics? Someone needs to go and see an eye doctor. Game easily looks as good as The Order 1886.
*******************************************************************
I was pretty Damn bored with it too.
You don't own an XB1 either. You'll probably be bored with The Order 1886 as well then.

You even added 'easily' hahahah. QB is like 5y behind The Order's graphics.

my eyes are just fine ...you just have too much green cum in your eyes that you can't admit it
also you are the Biggest Lem in this place and no ....you are still a Lem even with you owning ps4
Yeh the gameplay looked like a standard TPS and the powers disappointing me as they looked like they'd get repetitive and the AI was too stupid to deal with it half the time. Maybe it'd be more exciting in the highest difficulty, they tend to use low difficulties to get a gameplay that shows everything they want to without dying but so far it just looked stale.
Yet I'm sure you think Uncharted 4 wont be an "everyday shooter" because it's on PS4 right? TC you have seen a very small amount of gameplay and it's fine if you didn't like it, but it's far from the most generic game at Gamescom that just makes you lose credibility to me. There is no way that this looks more generic than what we've seen from games like Advanced Warfare and The Order (atleast to this point) if you were actually interested in the game and could play it, you would know there's a lot more than just shooting in the game just by reading all the impressions people wrote about gameplay. Puzzles using the time powers are a big part of this game. There are three different characters that you can play as in the game including Jack, Joyce and the villain and they all play differently. Story is also a big part of this game and Remedy are masters at storytelling and they've been great at it since Max Payne. I don't think a game that has TV episodes in between gameplay can be judged in such hyperbole with an 8 min clip. Also, I highly doubt the shooting will be terrible as you're suggesting especially considering Remedy has made some of the best TPS of all time. That's just what we know so far about the game and just from these things alone we can already tell it's not an "everyday shooter" and the most generic game at Gamescom.
Looks pretty, but damn I'm so burned out with linear set piece cover shooters ... still nothing present or in the future to interest me in a XB1
You don't own an XB1 either. You'll probably be bored with The Order 1886 as well then.
The order looks pants too.
What I find so boring about it is that it's like every single cinematic AAA game these days... It's a shooter. It's as though the developers spend all their time with story and presentation that when it finally comes to gameplay they just go with the shooter genre because its practically default vanilla gaming right now. It doesn't matter if these are the mechanics that best suit the context they built either (Bioshock infinite) which creates a huge disconnect between plot and interaction.
It's also easier to connect with characters when they aren't skilled murderers.
@Cloud_imperium
Yeah.... Cowering behind cover sure looks like blast :)
don't get me wrong, cover systems are great, Regenerating Health plus Regenerating Powers is not a good combo though, especially if that power is bringing time to a complete stand still that baddies can't do nothing about it.
I know that such things are tempting but games that are basicly eternal God Modes are actually Boring.
Have you ever played Max Payne? Even though Max had bullet time effects which at face value looks easy to abuse, the game had some pretty challenging gun battles. I'm sure the same will apply here.
I thought it looked great. In Remedy, I trust.
This.
Do we trust it will find its way to PC like every other Remedy game? :D
I hope so because that's probably going to be the only way I'm gonna play it. lol.

Right away might be a problem Heil. It is Remedy we are talking about. You probably won't see QB until 2016 knowing them.
Because its another of those crappy movie-like TPS that has been done a billion times in the previous gen. Its only natural to find these kind of games boring considering how generic and formulaic they are, not to mention they are a big step backwards in terms of game design.
Word.
x2
Although I didn't think it looked that boring..
I find it desperate for ppl to say "B/c it's not on PS4" and such things.
I'll be the first to admit that The Order doesn't look like it's doing anything out of the ordinary, but at least from what I've seen it's got an interesting story and some unique weapons.
There are real reason why QB looks dull to me. For one....it looks like MAx Payne with a twist. Which puts me off from the get go. It just doens't look interesting or unique...no unique weapons that we've seen...no unique skills.....the plot seems it will be somewhat unique.
Because it's not on PS4.
Bullshit, the gameplay looks like any new-school splinter cell cover shooter. Stupid enemies that you can run behind and shoot is all this game is about.
@blackace: I don't own an X1? That's news to me.
And yes, I'm kinda bored with order too
But no, it didn't look as good as order.
Looks better then The Order. It doesn't look like it on rails either.

Kid, when you're finished smoking that weed and have come back from Fantasy Land; let us know.

Blackace is probably the worst person on this forum. I keep finding new people to dislike on here. He's the latest. But for good reason of course. He's a liar who hides behind the label 'manticore' to get a better shot at Sony. A bit sad :(
Yes, and you're another troll who gets butthurt and has meltdown when no one agrees with you. Cry more. Sorry if the truth hurts your feelings.
I just wish it had black bars, 800p, and covered in grey. Then it would be a master piece!
Still bitter because The order takes sh** on Quantum break graphics..hahahah
Like i already say the game time stop crap is what will render this game boring,it is abusing to no ends and it was show it takes little skills to kill any one,just pause time and shoot,and again the actual gameplay look nothing like the first movies shown.
@heretrix
I'm glad you brought up Max Payne... See Max Payne's simple hive mind AI creates a greater challenge since enemies will constantly be on your ass wherever you go... You just can't fool them.
But most importantly, Max Payne's Bullet time doesn't regenerate by itself, you fill it up by slaying baddies. You have to earn bullet time so its in your best interes to chain kills together, which is both more challenging and fun than what was happening in Quantum Break, it was still an Exploit though, so in The Sequel they added a progressive element in the bullet time feature, as you rack up kills in Bullet Time, the bullet time actually begins to intensify causing the game to move slower and slower.... Which is actually a disadvantage cause it limits the amount of baddies you can kill, this prevents long kill chains so that its not too much of an Exploit, which adds a new dynamic to Bullet Time management, namely, knowing when to turn it off so you don't deplete you Hour Glass because you won't make it to the next kill in time.
If they can just weave this "Succubus design" into Quantum Break then it would be a better game for it.

Just because creative people make a conscious decisions does not mean it will be bad.

So you HAVE played Max Payne. :)
I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt until I know more.
For me the concept looked cool but the gameplay they showed against a group of enemies seemed to lack some punch. Probably a problem of balance between the cover system, regenerating speed of power, the powers themselves and the enemy AI. The final part where he fought those armored enemies seemed even worse, at first I thought it would be this epic battle, then I actually saw what happened and ended up disappointed.

well in all fairness, we don't know exactly how often you can use your abilities or how you regen them. The demo could have been on a "god mode" where they have unlimited to show it off.
@darkangel115
I really hope they use the Max Payne solution.... Because Limiting the Time Freeze duration while extending the Regeneration will make the game slightly more challenging but if the mechanic isn't getting that much use its going to fall into gimmick territory which is what is what many shooters suffer from, it would just become even more generic.

I wouldn't care if you weren't such a fucking liar though.
You should be calling Silversix the liar. "Five years behind The Order's graphics?" LMAO!! There is your liar right there. Go get him.
Guess this thread says differently OP. Seems almost all posts say it looked good. I'll be getting it.

Don't mind him . He thinks no cover system in Max Payne was a bad design choice because "smart people use cover system" like in Max Payne 3 . It doesn't concern him if the game turns out to be Gears of War Clone . All he needs is cover system and coop in every damn game .
