The second two points are easily because of the early stage of the graphics. But too colorful? I'm sorry, what is that particular area supposed to look like?
I thought they wanted to make a more mature zelda..:? it looks like wind waker, they should just give the zelda franchize to biowareThe issue is that Wind Waker's look is more popular in Japan and Twilight Princess did not do as well as it could have over there. On the same token, the photo realistic look is more popular in the West, which puts Nintendo in a difficult position on which style to go with in Skyward Sword
By merging the styles, they are trying to reach a compromise between the look of Wind Waker and the realistic look of Twilight Princess that will let the game appeal to both fanbases who may prefer one look over the other.
I like the look of this game, its colorful but still has some of the mature look of Twilight Princess.
