Blog it.

Also, you forgot to enclose "HD" in quotations, since most games on the console aren't even HD!

If you want HD gaming, it's only on the PC.

Nice troll try but not good enough because

1) Tons of games , mods , online games etc etc releasing on PC as well..100% FREE!!.. .

2) So if you were working in your office with consoles all day instead you wouldnt gaming on them at your place? I rofled in real life...

3) I bought mine 1 year after PS3 release. Mine costed 750 , PS3 costed at that time 599...with no game... Differences between 2?Major ones. Do your math again

4) Look 3 because with that rig i just finished Batman AC at 1920x1200. Do your math again.

5) Look 3 + 4. Nothing to add here. Mythology is great thing and ...youre good at it it seems.

6) Ultra high res monitors...right... Whats the difference between a 1080p HDTV and an 1080p HD monitor? This is even easier than do 1+1=2...

7) Same room LAN ( more than 10 players playing together ) >>> Any console by default.

Now have a nice day and try harder next time. Cya

Yet the games on consoles arent bad. Unless you create these invisible barriers to enjoying gaming that many, including consolites do.

Why i dont game on consoles (much)

Graphics are sub par (I dont care about graphics in multiplayer games, but in singleplayer im a graphic whore)

Controllers are not good compared to KB/M

Games costs almost 30% more

If a game has gamebreaking flaws, there is nothing i can do about it

What i like a about consoles

It is more of a "IRL" system, in the sense that you have friends over and you play some Tekken or FIFA/Madden.

Its easier and more comfortable to be a spectator.

  1. Tons of games released for the PC that don't come to consoles. Both do genres that are fairly unpopular on the other.
  2. Fair enough. When I was working on a computer all day, it really didn't bother me that much. Either way, i'm staring at a screen.
  3. Can be, yes.
  4. Can be, yes.
  5. A PC can be in the same boat. I put in around $1500 initially, and it hasn't been upgraded in 4 years. I still game at 1080p for the most part.
  6. Computers should be used for whatever you want. I rock 1080p on my 40-inch TV and it looks great.
  7. Split-screen? I guess. Assuming you aren't using a HDTV. Regardless, split-screen MP sucks nowadays.

1) Still doesn't change the fact that more games that I want to play release for consoles then PC

2) yes if I worked on a console all day I probally wouldn't want to play on one when I got home.

3) You can get a PS3 on sale for like $200 now a days. A decent PC is still 600.

4 & 5)The fact is if I buy a console 5 years later I still can play ANY game that comes out for that console at the highest (and only) settings. You can't say the same about a pc.

6) HIGHER RES duh

7) yeah but a pickup game of Madden, NBA, MK, whatever racing game is way more fun and easier to play on a console with a friend then on a pc. Same room mulitplayer on console owns pc.

Actually, about 70% of console games are native 1280x720. Some even run in a slightly higher resolution and downscale to 720p to reduce aliasing.

Also, HD is merely a term and has no "standard."

For example:

Here's why I don't, 1. Doesn't have the exclusives I wanna play. Biggest reason. 2. After a day of work at a desk on a computer, last thing I wanna do is come home and have to get back on one to game. Gaming at a desk just isn't fun, and not about to move my tower out into the family room and hook it up to the home theatre. Not convenient. 3. Compatibility issues, viruses, all that fun stuff. All stuff I've been burned by before.

Again closed minded folks who dont realize you can hook up their PC to their HD TV and grab PS3/360/alternative pad and sit on their comfy chair/sofa and enjoy a much smoother gaming than consoles.

I love how all the hermits just say "nice blog post" or talk about things that have nothing to do with the OP. Fact is all those are valid reasons people don't play on PC. You guys are always asking why. There's your answers.

Again, blind pc fanboy who needs to have his eyes checked. Never said I couldn't hook it up to the home theatre. Said its not convenient. There's a reason why most pc gamers don't do it either. Convenience. PC gaming is primarily done from a desk. Man you guys are sensitive.

Do I have to? This was going back a long ways. I believe one was using second-hand parts though (via a video posted where he put it together). That was likely the lowest price-point i've ever seen displayed here. $400-500 is far more popular to be shown.

Not one person I know that games on PC games on their TV. Not one. AND consoles have the better fighting games to play on that HDTV anyways.

1) Next time dont sound like PC lacks games because in reality it can play EVERY game released in history ( with very few exceptions..for now ). That is if you dont like gaming PC games...

2) Whatever...

3) A PC like mine that still plays games on 1080p , before 5 years costed 750 ... Do you got any idea how it will cost now with same parts? Man is that so difficult to think about it? Also keep gaming at 69.99 and 59.99 each title. I play same games with all extra DLC with 39.99. If you want to keep on $$ value i can go on. .

4)+5) You want to talk with facts? Ok, read 1 again. Now have you ever seen Zelda SS at 1080p? I think my answer is enough for you. PC = the biggest platform with the biggest games library of ALL platforms combined in gaming history. Thats the only fact i see which you dont. period.

6) Who exactly has HIGHER RES (with caps) 1080p TV or 1080p monitor? You getting confused here man...

7) Well try a "raid" with your mates in an MMORPG. Try play a 5vs5 counter strike or COD match with all your team/friends and then you might consider again what fun really is ...in same room!! Since you havent , you donteven know what im talking about and we cant talk further about this . Try it once.

Again, blind pc fanboy who needs to have his eyes checked. Never said I couldn't hook it up to the home theatre. Said its not convenient. There's a reason why most pc gamers don't do it either. Convenience. PC gaming is primarily done from a desk. Man you guys are sensitive.

Exactly. PC gamers always say about how they can game from thier sofa, but all game at thier desk.

- Tons of games release every year for the HD twins that don't come on PC. Tons of Racing Action, Fighting games are just not on PC.

Yes PC exclusives exist too

- I work on a computer all day, I don't want to game on one also.

You can game on a TV too

- A decent gaming computer is 2 to3 times as much as a console.

The majority of PC gamescan run a computer that will cost you around $300

- A good-great gaming computer is 4-8 times as much as a console or more.

The majority of PC gamescan run a computer that will cost you around $300

- If you buy a console it is gtg with no upgrades for 5+ years.

You don't have to upgrade your 5-year old PC either in order to play many modern games

- I like gaming on a big HDTV (I know you can hook a computer up to HDTV but that kinda defeats the purpose. Computers should and are used on ultra high resolution monitors)

You don't need a 1440p screen to play games

- Same room multiplayer is way better on consoles.

The only argument in favor of consoles, which applies only to the Wii this generation (as the multiplayer to the 360 and Ps3 are catered moreso to Online than splitscreen). Both the 360 and Ps3 have completely neglected splitscreen gameplay.

You're assuming. I don't game at my desk, which proves your point wrong.

Same here, well for certain games that is,when I use the controller on my PC games I´m, usually not on my desk.

I prefer the desk though, makes for a more immersive experience in my opinion, and my chair is extremely comfortable and better to my back than my couch.

[QUOTE="AzatiS"] Nice troll try but not good enough because 1) Tons of free games , games , mods , online games etc etc releasing on PC as well . 2) So if you were working on your office with consoles all day you wouldnt gaming on them at your place? I rofled in real life... 3) I bought mine 1 year after PS3 release. Mine costed 750 , PS3 costed at that time 599...with no game... Differences between 2?Major ones. Do your math again 4) Look 3 because with that rig i just finished Batman AC at 1920x1200. CyaAzatiS

1) Next time dont sound like PC lacks games because in reality it can play EVERY game released in history ( with very few exceptions..for now ). That is if you dont like gaming PC gamers...

Ok. Have you ever seen Zelda SS at 1080p? I think my answer is enough for you. PC = the biggest platform with the most games of ALL platforms combined in gaming history.

1. Really? You playing Forza 4 on PC? Gears 3? Uncharted 3? Super Mario Galaxy?

2-5) Bet you aren't playing Batman MAXED.

6. OK same RES, Computer monitors still have a waaaay faster refresh rate.

7. I have 3 friends that get together in the same room and play MMORPGs together. For hours. And it's sad.

I'd love a desk for certain genres, but I survive. I'm jelly... I need to get a new office chair, but we're finally getting rid of our one desk in the house (everybody uses laptops now :P).

Sorry shouldn't have said all pc gamers. Just all pc gamers I have ever met/known in RL and what I would imagine would be the vast majority of pc gamers. Better?

I love how OP gave legitimate, sensible reasons but most of the hermits are fighting back.

Except he didn't, and even if he had, it's an entirely personal opinion which contributes little to the board, so it belongs in a blog.
