Why is Gears of War 3 so disappointing

Yes most games have bad dialogue, but then again, most games didn't have the budget that Gears had. Maybe if they had hired a good writer, it wouldn't have sucked as bad? The gameplay can be the best thing ever, but when the story in a mode that centers around it sucks so bad, it's just not a good game. Gears is not a good series. Unless you have bad taste or low standards. 001011000101101

Marcus Fenix'sbiceps can fend of yo petty ammunition.

It all comes down to the game's excellent art direction and technical visuals, the game is just so damn solid it's practically impossible not to like. Even if the story is crap (everyone knows the main concern of a gamer is not the story).

Gears 3 > Gears 1 > trash > Gears 2. Fact!. Story and endings of all three games were equally good/bad.

Do reviews and sales support the view Gears 3 is boring? If not, then the problem is with the individual player's tastes and not the game.

It can't be any worse than that interactive movie Uncharted 3! After nearly 2 years, Vanquish is still the king baby.

I thought it was better than the first two. If anything the story in the first one is very disjointed. The MP aspect was much improved in GoW 3. But it's been a while since I played it.
