I mean its kinda disgraceful.

People are actully saying that the wii u will be better then the next ps3 and xbox.

Why does the wii u tablet need batterys?Handhelds (eg.ds and psp) dont require batterys even the ipad doesnt need aa batterys. My complaint is the fact that i dont have the time or money to constantly by batterys however one could say why not buy a battery charger? The problem is when you the batterys power is finished youll have to wait for 5 hours to use them again to last until another 5 hours.

I know an alternative is to buy more then 2 batteries but still why doesnt nintendo just give us a break and make the tablet controller chargeable with a charger or usb?

Buy rechargeables. In the case of the wiiu controller, what would you prefer? Rechargeable batteries are actually rather cheap and can be charged 100s of times.

Yes but youd have to put the batterys in a charger and you would have to wait a long time to use them efficently again

Would you rather be able to buy cheaper rechargable AA batteries, or have to shell out $50+ for a new controller?

Oh SW...you are always so pathetically funny

I've been a Wii Owner since day 1, and with my AA Rechargeable Energizers in all this years, probably 1 maybe 2 times i've been left without batteries to play, also waiting for 5 hours to get 5 hours of game  Priceless.

You can charge more than enough at one time. I've come to appreciate the 360 in this respect. I bought a charger when my wiimote batteries were dying. Now I understand the positive people claim in regards to the 360 batteries. It makes more sense. Regular ol aa/aaa batteries are a proven technology that seems like it ain't ever going anywhere. Eventually they'll stop producing ps3 pads/etc...or a new lithium/etc type of tech will arrive. aaa/aa will remain, though.

I had alwyas thought that the Wii U tablet controller uses Blue tooth and the battarries can be rechared via USB cable. As with PS3.

um chargable AAs and then you have the actual rechargable 3rd party modules you can buy for wii motes which I'm sure they'll make for the wii u controller.

Who uses regular batteries nowadays? LMAO.

It would work just the same as the 360's or the Wii's controllers. Have one pair of the rechargable batteries on a controller, then when it drains, switch them out with another 2 rechargable batteries & recharge the previous two batteries that you formerly used, then repeat. It's that simple.

I actually prefer controllers with batteries then those who are charged. I don't like to have the controllers hooked up, and when I bring friends to play and I don't have battery on any controller I have to wait for them to charge.

I agree with the TC though.

It's simply inconvenient to buy or charge AA batteries for my Wii. It's not something I even think about with my PS3.

In the battle between relatively cheap rechargeable AA batteries and a manufacturer's own rechargeable pack/controller (which they'll overcharge for), I know which I prefer.

yeah but with the PS3 when it runs low on batteries you're stuck with a chord, and no matter how long it is (mine's like 12ft), it's still an issue in my living room, whereas the wii just require a quick swap of batteries and placing the old ones in the charger.

I'm pretty good at always charging the controllers when I'm not playing. It's basically a routine that's easier to keep track on than the batteries in the Wii-mote. I don't have rechargeable batteries for it so I never know when they run out.

It's the same with the 3DS. When I don't use it I recharge it. That way I never run out and it never surprises me.

Um, the controllers usually use 2 batteries. The rechargeables usually come in a four pack. Charge the other two while you're using 2... Typical of a Naruto fan

it uses AA batteries? great. no need to pay for over expensive propietry batteries. 4 rechargable batteries, 2 in the charger, 2 in the controller. off ya go. much better than the nonsense with the PS3 controller or the crap 360 controller charger (at least the 360 controller does have the AA option though).

as far as i know, the controller only charges when the system is turned on. so you can only recharge it when you're playing, OR plug it on a PC.

Better to have replaceable batteries than rechargeables that you CAN'T replace unless you buy a new controller if the battery goes BEYOND rechargeable.

It's because they are cheap. How long did it take for Nintendo to enter the modern online world? Wii U. After all those years cheaping out and overpricing their hardwares to young children. Shameful display!

Not reallly I use rechargeables for my wii mote and they fully charged in 15 minutes and I can use them right away and it will last me about 3 weeks.

I would rather a controller use a battery I can get cheaply off any store shelf as to use some proprietary battery they determine the price of.

The Wii U controller does not need batteries, it comes with an in built rechargeable battery. Please do your homework before posting.
