it doesn't have as many decent games as ps3 fanboys would like you to believeCheckingAvailablol, so your basically saying it has no games. this argument has been dead for weeks.
[QUOTE="MerisYaki"]It has no games and is expensive.

are you kidding me it has one of the best games. It just too expensive
lol like what? mgs4 isnt a game btw, its an interactive movie lmao! It's selling ok, at least better than the 360 and remember the PS3 is 400$ still and the cheapest 360 model is 200$. It just needs a price drop so it starts selling like the Wii.Hitman533its not selling better than the 360 man
Also the fact that they launched the console at $600 already sealed sony's fate. I can only imagine the stupid idiot who works for Sony's marketing branch who thought of that...
It's expensive. That right there is the primary reason for it's low sales compared to the other consoles. It started at $600 and it took two years to come down to $400, which is still considered expensive when you look back at the last generation and PS2 launched at $300. PS2 peaked in sales when it hit that golden $200 mark but PS3 is still a long way off from that.
Then there's the games. No I am NOT going to preach the fanboy rhetoric that "it has no games". Of course it does have games. But again examining early on in it's launch, it started with a small library that had a slower growth rate than expected, and many of it's earlier releases didn't meet expectation. Lots of delays for the high profile games and many more finding their way to it's direct competitor, Xbox 360.
By the time it has built up its library, it's still more expensive than the 360 which has many of the same games as PS3. All these factors add to the hurdles the console faces which has grown with each passing month and year, making it more and more difficult in the market share battle.
its because it is too expensive. if it were cheaper it would be neck and neck with xbox 360.munkeypoo45Assuming that they were released at the same time too right? It's not that it's just too expensive, it's that the people they marketed it towards already bought an Xbox360 and can't justify paying for the expensive PS3 too because of the price and very similar experience.
[QUOTE="light_zwitch"]I want you guys to give reasons why the ps3 isnt selling and what it could do to sell betterbizzy420main reason is PRICE. Sony needs to SHOW people why its more expensive. let people know that it has a built in HDD, bluray, and wireless adapter.
right? there should be a commerical that tabulates the cost of an xbox 360 with all the added stuff vs a PS3. still 400 dollars is too much, even if you adjusted for inflation. McDonalds still pays 5 dollars an hour.
(edit)
also where's the RROD commerical?
It launched way too expensive and remains the most expensive console on the market. While MS made sure to front loaf their launch and headstart with big name games people expected, Sony has been slow to release their big name titles. Killzone still isn't out, and other titles like Ratchet and Clank, and Metal Gear took a year or two to come out. Still no word on when God of War 3, Twisted Metal or the new games Team Ico are working on will be coming out.
Sone should have made sure they had steady stream of big name games ready for their launch. They have had some great games like Uncharted and heavenly Sword, but they are new titles nobody new about other than hardcore gamers.
Maybe if MS made the PS3 it would be better. Cole-Protocal
You got to be kidding me if m$ made the PS 3 no offense but wed have a pos system that would break every week.
The reason = price.
once the price cuts again they will continue where they left off before m$ lowered it's 360 to $199 and m$ will go back to it's rightful place joining it's father in 3rd place.

Why can't MS lower its price again right when PS3 lowers its price? MS is still making money off of each console sold right now. So what stops them from dropping price immediately when PS3 does? When it comes to a price war PS3 is always going to lose.

Xbox came in 2nd place ahead of Gamecube, NOT 3rd like Sony pays you to believe.
And this just shows how sales is in cows blood, how you care every day that you support a 3rd place console. Your gonna wait for a long time if u think ur gonna tke 2nd anytime soon.

m$ already reached it's sweet spot in gaming system prices it really can't go lower they cannot go below last gen prices and if the price goes down it will look too cheap, really how low can m$ go $80 and the games coming for them in 09 are a joke so with the PS 3 with it's price cutting and killer exclusive 09 they will be a steamrolling the competition.
