Reasons why it will be a flop and ME3 will never happen:
1. EA is the publisher and many people still hate EA. Given their current practices, they force devs to rush their games leading to mediocre games like LOTR: Conquest.
2. The recession. People are buying games that are well-known only right now and the publishers know this. Mass Effect isn't a well established IP, next year it might even get lost in all of the great upcoming titles just like many games in 2008
3. Bioware is spread too thin. With Dragon Age origins, SW: TOR, Mass Effect DLC, chacnes are Bioware will not have put as much effort into ME2 as they would have liked. Not enough manpower. Making ME2's quality to be less and thereofre get less sales.
4. Mass Effect doesn't have a huge fanbase. It's a very niche title and those fans expect greatness from ME2, but chances are it will be of less quality than ME1 which is why it will flop. This will lead to a smaller fanbase, less sales and the ME franchise will be abandoned.
Aku101
1. Nobody Cares about EA. Everyones anger is concentrated more on Activision this days.
2. Mass Effect 2 is the best known title coming out in January, original Mass Effect sold well and received great praise. After the success of Dragon Age i see even more people looking intoME 2.
3. Quantity=quality? Bioware has been working on ME 2 for a long time, they have improved and polished everything from the first game.
4. ME's fanbase was huge enough to get your thread 11 pages. Bioware makes quality games that any RPG fan will be interested in. ME is the only good franchise EA has going for them, there is no way they will abandon such a successful title.
Anyway do you even have a 360? Seems like all you do is trash talk about Xbox 360 and its games.
