What game other then zelda has reasonably interesting art?You made some pretty good points...SoulKillah\
I have to agree, hardcore gamers will probably not enjoy the wii as much as, say, a PC :)
Sorry dude, Hardcore is a small segment of the market, there will still be games for them, but the blue ocean strategy of Nintendo is about much more, as for grpahics, if you can't stand SD level graphics then I feel sorry for you axt113
Edit: What peeved me off at the start was that Nintendo put a wireless card in the wii that costs nearly $100 whereas they could have put a $10 LAN port in and used the remainder of the money towards hardware. I am sure that the wii could have been a nice little 720p console with amazing visuals had they done this, and in doing this they also alienate all the casuals who do not have wireless.Funny, the reason I don't own a 360 is because they charge 100 dollars for wireless on top of the console cost.

So this is another, "I wish the Wii looked like the 360" thread? Twilight Princess was bad...:?TSComboYeah I hate to tell you that it was not very good. A game that is not challenging is not fun. I had no sense of accomplishment as I dragged myself from one event to another.

Wow, games that have looked the same for ages...mario galaxy looks good, but the rest look terrible. I am very disappointed in what I have seen in metroid so far. Prime was great because it was lush, and now it seems like they are heading in a resistance/gears direction which looks terrible for that particular series.[QUOTE="axt113"]Sorry dude, Hardcore is a small segment of the market, there will still be games for them, but the blue ocean strategy of Nintendo is about much more, as for grpahics, if you can't stand SD level graphics then I feel sorry for you OMGTEHGRUKWTF

But the best games also have good graphics (depending on what it is trying to accomplish).
So quit with the "Graphics whore" stuff already.Â
If a game has such terrible graphics that you can't make out objects or see where your going then you can't possibly play it now can you? So I guess graphics do count for something eh?

I have an HDTV and a Surround sound system. I still like my wii and still play it almost every day. if you're a gamer that needs to play 5+ hours a day it might not be for you. I have a pc for my other gaming needs (RPG's and MMORPGs). but I find that when you want to play with others the wii is great. I'm waiting for better games and i'm sure they'll eventually come. I've played red steel and thought it was pretty fun. they just needed a lot more fine tuning on bugs, ai and story. but it did keep in glued to my couch for a few hours at a time.OntainBy hardcore I do mean people who may play 5 hours a day. I probably play about that. The wii start wearing off for me and all my buddies after about a month.

built in wireless doesn't cost them $100. that's just what MS charges you. if you look at pc's the built in wireless on laptops are like $15 extra and that's retail. hmmm at this point i wonder what has a high adoption rate. wireless networks or HDTV.

Not only that, but nice visuals makes the experience that much more memorable. Like God of War II is blowing my mind now. The art in that game is astounding and thats because they have about 7 lead artists who just draw prototypes for everything and they pick the best out of about 20 pieces. Everything is huge and has amazing visual fidelity. Far better looking then zelda.[QUOTE="OMGTEHGRUKWTF"][QUOTE="axt113"]Sorry dude, Hardcore is a small segment of the market, there will still be games for them, but the blue ocean strategy of Nintendo is about much more, as for grpahics, if you can't stand SD level graphics then I feel sorry for you Dr_DudeMan
