Most of those problems you've listed are on consoles too. PS3 has installs, and you can break a console as easy as breaking a computer...not to mention list 2 and 4 contradicts itself (about PC varitety) ;). Viruses happen sooner or later, my friend. That's what Norton is for. As for pirating, again, it's another problem in consoles (and handhelds), though not as much as PC gaming. Everything else is purely preference. I really don't mind the installs. They take just about much time (some less) than installing data on the PS3, and CD keys...honestly, who cares? I have to punch it in to play a game, I have to punch in a code to download a movie on Itunes(hey, they're free with Blu Ray movies :P) and have no problem with it. I mean, it takes like ten seconds to type them in. As for bugs...they're another thing that's not a PC exclusive. Lots of 360 and PS3 games have bugs and glitches that require an update at some point. IMO, it just sounds like you've got some serious grudge against your computer ;). I'm not going to bother asking what, but just because your comp did something to seriously piss you off doesn't mean that the rest of the world should give theirs a middle finger. I mean, come on...a $2000 computer? That's not something I'd want to throw away ;)There has recently been many threads popping up about how consoles are turning into PCs etc, but that won't happen since consoles are selling so well like tey don't ever post PC sales well here are a few points to get across from me. This is my reasons for why PC gaming is going to die.
1. The PC has installation, how many times do you just want to put the game in and play it? but no everytime you play you have to install it! FRUSTRATING :D!
2. There are so many bugs. I mean every PC games needs like so many patches to fix it. Look at WoW, my friends tells me there are new patches nearly every few weeks...and it's been out for four years, imagine the sheer amount of problems at the start. :O
3. CD KEYS, these things are annoying as hell to type in and usually at least takes me about 10 goes. I mean why can't they just make it like consoles so PCs are pirate-proof.
4. Lack of variety - PC games only have shooters, when was the last time you heard a PC gamer play something that isn't a shooter? counter stirke? nope, team fortress? nope
5. High price and easily breakable - I have a PC and it costs $2000! Not to mention I keep getting viruses on it and stuff and costs me so much to fix it.
That's why PC gaming will be the first to die, then maybe the Wii cause of the lack of exclusives.

You still sound like Blackbond to me...
I'm not having a go at you, but you should really try doing something about the tone in your messages man, you really have a way of annoying people by the way you phrase things. I mean it well, trying to give some constructive criticism here.
NielsNL
It's console fanboys going into the PC section to bash the platform, what is there to constructively criticise?

'Consolites' has a derogatory ring to it to begin with.Aside from that I see you generalizing often. Try adressing just the person you're reacting to. I could find more, but I can't be bothered to go through your posting history. You justseem 'annoyed' all the time (maybe that's why you call yourself annoyed dragon?). A tone that's more laidback would benefit your posting in my opinion. You say sensible things, but in a way that just rubs people the wrong way. That's exactly why I think you're actually Blackbond's new account, since he did the EXACT same thing. You also seem to let yourself be caught in by mindless fanboys making outrageous claims. Just let that slide man.

1. The average hard drive is around 500 gb nowadays, I don't think you'll be constantly reinstalling games as Crysis is around 12gb.
2. WoW needs to frequently patch as it is a MMO that needs to release new content to keep their customers happy. I don't really see how this is different from any other 360/PS3 games recieving bug fixes and updates.
3. Consoles, pirate proof? I know for sure that many consoles have been modified so it can run pirated content, but for the sake of the rules I won't go into detail. Also is it really, really that hard to read a CD-Key and then type it in? I think at school we learnt how to read around the first ever year.
4. Oblivion, Starcraft, The Sims, Spore, Fallout 3, Red Alert 3, Warcraft 3, Morrowind, Diablo 2, Tales of Monkey Island are all games of note that aren't FPS.
5. Install an adequate anti-virus before you even complain about viruses and I recently got a computer that can run Crysis rather smoothly for only $1400 AUD. And by the way building your computer is cheaper.
I'm not a PC fanboy, but threads that barely stem from the truth just to boost a fanboy's ego about their console gets annoying really fast.

WoW, this really is an amazingly ignorant post.... oh well, let me see if i can correct you here.
1. I generally use Steam. Download games whilst i sleep, no install, auto patching. I currently have a thread on the go concerning the fact my PS3 HD is full. I have had to uninstall several games to put on new ones. I can no longer play those games. I rarely do this with my PC.
2. True, some games do have bugs. This is not just a PC problem however. The bugs are generally hardware related too. WoW gets updates bthat contain content, new features and balance patches.Don't know where you get your info from.
3. My 6 year old daughter can easily install games with a CD key, she regularly does on one of my other PC's. Really don't know what to say to you on this. Soryy i guess.
4. Hmm, lets look at the games i have played recently, The Last Remnant JRPG, Kings Bounty TBRPG ( i think), Drakensang Party based RPG, Penumbra + expansions Horror FP (not a Shooter), Empire: Total War TBS, Dawn of War 2 RTS, Plants vs Zombies Puzzle?, Overlord 2 Adventure/RPG?, Tackmania Nations Racing, Sims.....I could go on and on and on.
6. Had my PC for over 2 years. Never had a virus or spyware or any other problem i can think of. Know why? i'm not stupid.
Really i don't know why some people feel the need to needlessly bash the PC, especially with completely false points.

1 - Installation doesnt take that long, if you cant handle it I think not having any patience to sit for 3-5 minutes is your real problem.
2 - Every game has bugs. Every game gets patches. Xbox 360 and PS3 do as well. Its a good thing that developers patch out any bugs they find and it doesnt take long usually 3 - Consoles are not pirate proof, every console game is pirated to no end on the internet. Cd Keys are annoying yeah but they take up 30 seconds of your time at most(less you cant type right)
4 - There is more variety in PC gaming than any other gaming medium. Just because you havent looked into it doesnt mean that shooters arent the only game around. Crysis is talked alot about so maybe thats why you dont believe there is anything other than shooters. Look up PC games before you try to act intelligent and be schooled.
5 - It can be high priced that is true. Doesnt have to be though. You can get a cheaper PC and still be able to play most games. My computer is a couple years old, cost around 1000 dollars at the time, and I can play every game that comes out on the highest settings easy. Viruses... I dont have this problem. I have had 1 or 2 in the past but I use Mozilla Firefox and I am careful what I download. The PC can be expensive to fix. That part is true.

[QUOTE="Olimar_the_Min"]all the games on consoles are for noobs more than pc so those will be the first for real gamers to stop gaming on. Noobs are merely just less experienced gamers with sex lives. Everyone is welcome to gaming.
