Yes I was the same way, I was a huge fan of Sony's consoles having both a Ps1, 2, and psp. Then they announce the 600 dollar price tag that was like a middle finger to fans.

Also that is true, even my friend used to tell me that Gears of War and Mass Effect were not exclusive because he could play them on his computer... His computer could barely run Rome Total War though...

what sales dont they get? they are 3 million behind WW despite the Kinect onslaught. The 360 Slim and a cheaper price point. ps3 will have second place wrapped up by the time this gen is over.

Sony and their arrogance was the downfall for them. People wised up and move to 360 or the wii. Sony the only one to lose marketshare this gen. No matter how hard cows try to deny this, it won't change the fact that ps3 was the loser of this gen.

don't care for the 360 since the games don't interest me.

Too bad uncharted 1 looks better than gears of war1 and 2. I have to say though, this thread gets an A+ for originality. F- for actually trying to maintain this thread because your going to lose.

Sony ate a 150 million chunk of money, 65 million from the PSP and 47 million from 2001 to 2010, plus all the software sales.

Here's the thing, in the real world gaming pcs make the 360 seem redundant, where as the PS3 or Wii compliment it. A redundant console with a subscription fee that you've spent 200$ to 300$ on alone by now - hey that's the price of another console. Is that where all the anger in the this thread is coming from? Cause the so called 'truth' in this thread relates to rabid fanboy ramblings going back over years where they were merely 'cheering on the team' , cause that's what FANboys do.

well it does in fact matter when you painted an image of you sitting back scratching your head not knowing why people "play sales"... If we're comparing products that MS doesnt compete with sony in like the psp, then lets throw other things in too, like operating systems... Microsoft destroyed sony this year in OS profits!!!! If your talking from a direct one on one comparison of the 360 and PS3, then the xbox 360 effectively nutralized the sony brand name in gaming while maintaining being the most profitable console on the HD market. Not to mention being the platform that moves more Multiplat titles than the competition. So yup sales are sales and whatever, but they do count for something no matter how much you want to spin it.

May beat it in sales numbers, but at least the PS3 has free online, better community, and far better games.

From a psychological standpoint, you have to wonder what 5 years in last place can do to the psyche of anyone or any group. If I was on a team that was in last place for 5 years, it could be devastating. Maybe the lashing out by ps3 fans maybe a symptom of this. Who knows?
