Why Uncharted is the consoles graphics king *56k*

Wow... I can't believe people are still holding onto Gears Of War as the graphics king... I played a few hours of Gears just earlier today and it doesn't hold a candle to Uncharted. Gears is by far the better game, but Uncharted clearly wins in the graphical department.

I played Uncharted earlier today. It doesn't hold a candle to Fable 2.

Fable 2 has better textures and more leaves.

Mass Effect looks really good for a console game, much better than MGS4 imo. (These might be pc screens)

Sorry but Mass Effect has great character models,and thats about it.The environments aren't all that great tbh.

yeah i admit offscreen pics make the game look better, but having played both Geow1 & Uncharted (on consoles), using the same HDTV, I know for sure that Uncharted does look better than Gears1... Unfortunately haters who just played Gear1 not having a PS3 will never admit it...

Its usless to discuss this eternal battle of which looks better, since you either actually play both games and then post an unbiased opinion or else its just cows stating one thing while lemmings state another... without facts, just them picking the best looking shot while posting the worst shots of the other game...

i played the game and it looks so much better, also those gamplay pics you posted are nowhere near the visual quality of the game... you're trying hard to prove Uncharted is inferior visuall to Geow1 but am sorry you may only try to convince yourself or PS3 haters... reality though is a different story...

Just shut up, the one who wears fanboy glasses is you, you don't own a PS3, never played or have even seen a game running on PS3 so just shut up.

I own both Xbox 360 and PS3 and Uncharted is so far clearly the best looking game, maybe Gears 2 will change that and then KZ2 and Uncharted 2 will change it again.

You should try to READ, i said the current best looking game on consoles... KZ2 is not yet released, and MGSIV looks great but imo i found Uncharted to look better... Technically MGSIV is superior though...

It doesnt got the same intensive lighting that offscreen shots have. And holy s*** I should take some captures of that HD video, they show even equal graphics like those IGN shots... and do post full size images aka 1280x720 for Uncharted not downscaled imags to make it look sharper and like it would have more high-res textures + AF! ;)

Well here you go both images from IGN and both are from the devlopers and they look not to be touched up.

Anyone who says this Ucnharted pictures are bullshots never played the game, it looks exactly like this when playing, actually even better and judding from Gears one this Gears 2 shots are also no bull shots, they are actually a bit more jaggie then the game in motion.

you go ahead and do that you prove nothing cause i know that game looks 10x better on my HDTV than some horrible quailty pics/videos FYI GT does have horrible videos this is proof download the KZ2 trailer on psn if you have PS3 and then watch it on GT youll see the diff.

Dude look at them same thing just a bit sharper images... if anything it looks even worse now that all the flaws are even more visible... the first image... jsut pan it to the right...oh god. You still got one BS Gears 2 image in there! :)

OK first off why to people keep using off-screen shots? ive played uncharted and it lacks in some areas, it certainly isn't the most technically impressive game. its mainly its slightly cartoony stle that makes it look so good, we should give naughty dog more credit for this than we usually do. that said im not a huge fan of uncharteds are direction, its just so cluttered.

the fact that there is any confusion about who is 'graphics king' should tell you that it is impossible to crown one. there are so many games in the mix, not least Gears of war, MGS4, mass effect and even things like lost odessy and Bioshock.

Oh and why are people arguing about graphics when the games in which people are arguing look almost the same SAGE_OF_FIRE

UC is graphics king and not even Gears 2 is close to it.
