Wii gamers, are you pleased with this year so far?

Xbox 360, PS3, and PC gamers are being fed some pretty good games consistently throughout the year, while the Wii on the other hand is lucky to get any scraps. Which got me thinking, just what have been Wii owners been playing so far this year? The Wii has limited multiplatform support--but the Wii did receive games like Tiger Woods, You Don't Know Jack, de Blob 2, Lego Star Wars III, and WWE All Stars. But is that is? There's Bit.Trip Flux which is a highly rated WiiWare game, but how long is that going to last you?

Heck, looking at the GS metagame... *link in signature 2011 review* That Wii list is looking pretty tiny, and not to mention lonely. What does SystemWars think about this game drought the Wii is stuck in currently. Then again, Conduit 2 just released as well. Perhaps that will wet your whistle? Or has it left a bad taste on ye'?

Nothing. Which means, it's time for a new console. All that's really left is Zelda: Skyward Sword. I guess Last Story and Xenoblade when [if] they get localized.The last thing I played was Donkey Kong Country Returns. Though I still have some other games to finish.

Luckily, I have a 3DS so it's been taking up my time.

so far, hell no. but skyward sword :O the last story, xenoblade and dragonquest 9 will come out this year, so it'll be a pretty sweet year. zelda alone will probably be the best game this year, but if not still one of the best.

Because i can't afford every single game I want every single year, I'm catching up on the backlog of games I've wanted to play that are now on sale, and beating games I own that never beat. Works just fine for me, I have more to spend money on than just video games :P

The only games I play on my Wii are Brawl and old gamecube games.

I'm both a 360 and Wii gamer, and so far, I'm not really pleased with this year so far when it comes to the Wii. The only really interesting thing I've seen so far this year is Conduit 2. So far, the 360 has seen Dead Space 2, Homefront, Mortal Kombat, Crysis 2, and Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

It makes you wonder if the big N is still stuck on the old "Quality Over Quantity" line from the N64 days. It's not a very convincing line when you look at systems like the 360 and PS3 which have both quantity AND quantity.

I was real excited when I found it. There's far less Dune fan art then there ought to be.

No (I don't think I've fired up my Wii since I bought the Metroid Prime Trilogy a year and a half ago), but to be fair I haven't been getting much use out of my 360 or PS3 either.

The Conduit 2 > Shogun 2, just like Heavy Rain > Crysis 1.

Anyway I'm buying Conduit 2 in a couple of days because I been hearing a lot of good things about the mp and the gameplay in the story mode.

Where's the option for "meh"?

I'm kinda dissapointed for the lack of releases for this year but I still can't afford all the games on my wish list from past years, so meh.

When do you expect the new console to hit stores? :)

I don't expect a new console until 2012 sometime. I don't think they'll release it this holiday. They'd be competing with themselves [the 3DS]

I love the Wii, but so far 2011 has been void of games for the platform that interest me. Granted, there's a huge list of games for it that I have yet to play.

However, keeping that in mind, last year Nintendo didn't have much planned either and then by the time E3 rolled around they showed that the Wii had its best line-up of games yet. We're still waiting on Pikmin 3 and Skyward Sword, and whatever else Nintendo may have. Will it be a good year for the Wii like 2010 was? I don't know, but I'm not entirely pessimistic about game announcements.

Gaming droughts aren't uncommon especially for Nintendo as they have zero third party support. I'm used to it by now.

I haven't played any new games this year, so the drought doesn't bother me. Hopefully Nintendo makes some announcements at E3, but if there aren't any new games coming, that's fine. All I really want is Zelda, and I can still pick up older games for the Wii and DS aside from the new stuff for my 360 and PC.

No, I'm not. Conduit 2 is piquing my interest, but I've never played the first. Beleive me, if I could sell all my Wii stuff for a PS3 and Portal 2, I would.

No it's pretty empty right now, in fact, not just with the Wii, but with all the offerings this year so far. Thankfully the second half of the year is looking more in tune with my preferences.

VERY pleased with this year...but that is not because of my Wii :P. PC and PS3 are doing great :). Haha in all seriousness Zelda: SS and hopefully some games getting localized will make it a good year for me.

After 2010? I'm extremely dissapointed.

There hasn't been anything interesting so far, and i'm not talking only about Wii, but neither on my other consoles (PS3, PC) hopefully the second half of the year will be better.

Last year was awesome. This year not so much so far. I pretty much have been playing games I missed out that came out last year.

I am still hoping for Xenoblade and the Last Story to be released in North America.
