Wii Graphics Already PEAKED?

The "oblivion" engine has just been re-tooled for the wii. So wait until you see some games being run on it before you say, its peaked. Basically, very few 3rd party developers have gone through the trouble to develop an engine that is optimal for wii. We've been seeing crappy games because most of the engines being used are last gen acquisitions.Darthmatt

I just purchased a wii and dont get me wrong, its fun. I was reaidng some older articles that said its a bit more powerful than the orignal XBOX.

call me crazy but NBA 2K7 XBOX looks a light years b etter than LIVE 08 for Wii and Halo 2 & Ninja Gaiden pretty much blows every Wii title away. So has the Wii already peaked graphically?

HD or not, compared in montion on you tv it's still low quality internet video at 24FPS. And I seen no Watch in HD button on this tralier.

I see your having trouble comprehending this, I watched an HD-Video. Not of the SAME trailer just one in HD. If anything my monitor makes it look better comparded to the 60" SDTV I have.

BTW, Conker 30fps, SMG 60fps... if they reduced the frame rate they could add even more effects which basically proves this thread is busted. The Wii hasn't peaked yet.

UMM IT ISNT. you habe got to be the biggest failure at proving the wii is last gen, the ps3 is miles ahead of the 360 as far as power goes does that mean its last gen... pc's were doing 360/ps3 graphics YEARS ago are the 360/ps3 last gen. Dont try to say pcs arent consoles b/c you're loosing

Super Mario Galaxy looks better, if only slightly, then any Xbox game (Keep in mind it's running at 60 FPS, which does count by the way) correct?

Since it is stronger than the strongest system last gen, that makes it next gen.

There's a lot more going on in Riddick to handle than a bunch of starships flying around. Rogue Squadron looks great, like I said in practice under the right circumstances it could produce greatness. But not on the xbox's level.

But this isn't about the Cube.
