I have to agree. I've been playing Red Steel 2 and Kirby lately and it amazes me how good they look on my 42" HD screen.

That said, it's a fact that Wii has weaker graphics than the other three systems. The resolution alone is proof of that.

You dont know very much about resolution and image quality do yoU?? I have a 110" screen and ANYTHING i put on it looks incredible. From dvd, to bluray, to 360,PS3,and yes...Wii..Even VHS looks pretty good. People get too hung up on numbers.

I owned a Wii (gave it to my cousin), and an Xbox 1, and the Xbox owns it graphically. The only games that impressed me on the Wii was SMG 1 / 2 and No More Heroes, and Panzer Dragoon Orta owns them visually.

Owning a Wii for 4 years isn't going to improve it's graphical capabilities. Have you played Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory for the Xbox? Or Ninja Gaiden? Or Dragoon Panzar Orta?

Again, graphics appreciation isn't only about the numbers. For instance, I think Okami on the PS2 looks better than 95% of the current gen games out today. Likewise, I think Epic Yarn looks better than Uncharted 2. I disagree. Last gen I used the GC, PS2, and Xbox projocted unto a 6-7ft screen. The ps suffered the most, though MGS 3 and GT4 looked great. As far as Wii on a plasma/lcd, well it all depends on the quality of the scaler in the set. I've seen some Wiis that looked awful, being displayed on cheaper lcd/plasma monitors. On the other hand, on a good monitor, the games look better actually. It's a similar effect to playing SNES on *cough*youknowwhat*cough*ahem*pc.

Again, graphics appreciation isn't only about the numbers. For instance, I think Okami on the PS2 looks better than 95% of the current gen games out today. When someone just says"this looks better than this", without any sort of elaboration it could mean anything, from artistically to technically to some kind of mix of both. So yes there is probably no reason for some of the arguments here since probably some aren't even arguing about the same thing with the other person.

Wii gamers still defending the last-gen graphics of the Wii (not saying it like its a bad thing just a fact) against next gen consoles? Look the Wii has shown some improvement but not alot. The Wii compete's with the next gen consoles on one platfortm and thats the controls thats it, in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM DOES IT EVEN TOUCH PS3, 360 GRAPHICS OR PHYSICS AND IT NEVER WILL!

Those are the facts, period. Now is that too say some Wii games might be not be fun? NO, I had a Wii for about 3 years, and I got really bored with it, because most of there 1st party stuff is too kiddy for me, and most of their 3rd party stuff looks and plays like ass. Not all but most, because devs are set up to take advantage of this gens harware not last's. Except Nintendo's 1st party devs. The Wii is nothing but a game cube with motion controls, and a slighty crisper graphics, thats it. Didnt ninty say the Wii was like 6 times more powerful than the Gamecube?.........in what aspect? Sure hasnt shown it.

I see slighty upgraded Gamecube graphics and textures with no anti-aliasing and thats it. If you are into the Wii thats cool, I'm sure the games are fun for you, god knows I loved ninty games when I was younger, but the fact is it just doesnt compete with nextgen systems, it does compete with some last gen xbox 1 games, yes some of the games look on par or a little better but thats not saying much.

You can't say its something its not, and that it is a next gen console, because it isnt a next gen console, its a gamecube with motion controls, its what the game cube should have been and I have felt that way from the day I owned the Wii, until the day I sold the Wii. You can fuss and get angry all you want, just enjoy it and pay no mind to what the lot of us think. You are not going to change facts: The Wii does not compete visually with today's grpahical standards.

On a plus side you do have sales on your side........and ninty has made a profit from day one.......their next console could be a behemoth. I don't hate nintendo, I just wish there console wasn't so dated in the hardware dept.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is no "next gen console". The Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360 are all current gen systems. PS2, Gamecube and Xbox are "last gen consoles". The term next gen is future, i.e what is coming next. Example we are on Saturday and in 7 days it will be next Saturday, so when that day comes, is it still referred to as next Saturday or (current) Saturday?
