Capcom would have to downgrade their development platforms to make 2d games, maybe even put a Voodoo 2 in their computer just to make you Uber Leet Graphics

Of course they can be easily made. Like this game right now looks like it is a lot easier to make than Street Fighters Alpha or whatever. That makes sense. Considering the fact Mega Man 9 didn't take very long to make, biggest reason is that it's all 8-bit stuff.

Everything but some of the effects are hand-drawn and high-res. Try to draw and color one screenshot of the game, it'll take you a while, imagine drawing each frame and background for the stage. It's not easy to make.

The reason why a 2d version would be hard is the plains of fighting, they jsut couldn't do it on just one plain or else it wouldn't be fun or challenging and 3d gives you a better feel of where you are compared to multiple plain on 2d

tekken could definitely work in 2d they already toke out alot of 3d aspect in tekken 6 gameplay, and tekken mostly plays in 2d anyway like any fighter ,edit: my post is still to nice 2d fighters are just as challenging as 3d fighters now please stop showing yourself as more and more ignorant and gtfo.
