Until a game comes out to show otherwise the Wii has meh hardware thats hasn't even out done the gamecube.

I just wish these console makers would stop making mystical consoles that contain secret power only unlockable by 'the one true dev'. Seems to me they would have been better off from a marketing and sales stand point to just let all developers have a decent console from the word go.

Look at Madden 08 Wii. Still looks exactly like PS2 graphics. no upgrades. What's the use of the extra power if it can't even upgrade the PS2 graphics automatically?

Seriously, its just single core Gamecube architecture with low clock speeds, a very outdated GPU and limited RAM. Thats nothing to game developers and there's so little potential to work with than whats under the hood of a 360 or PS3.

The problem with the Wii is that it can't even satisfy on that level. So its not just waiting for good games, its waiting for good graphics, and its still waiting to show any real innovation. Its failing in everything but sales.

If it's nothing to game developers,then we'd already be seeing games that surpass Xbox graphics.

Don't compare Warioware Wii to WWare DS. Its not the same experience. And, you might not like smooth moves, but the reviews frome everywhere disagree with you. so do the sales figures. Even gamespot (who are very stingy with nintendo games to say the least) gave it a 9.1, i was shocked because TP was way better than WW but hey, it proves you wrong at least.

Even if the Wii could do 360's low end graphical games by then the bar level of graphics would be raised by PS/360/PC. Look at games like Haze and MGS4 or games like Mass effect and Halo 3. The Wii can't keep up.

I remember hearing that it couldn't do normal mapping, and then Dewey's Adventure, Dewey's ****ing Adventure, was announced to have accomplished it within the first 5 months of the Wii's life. They look similar but not identical. Do not say that there are no upgrades because you are wrong. But then again, you'd have to be playing Madden as much as I do comparing and contrasting on multiple systems to actually see the differences lol.

You know, if it weren't for the patent, Microsoft and Sony could EASILY release a cheap motion sensing peripheral and do everything the Wii can, and even better due to hardware. The motion sensing bar is two cheap light sources (you can use two candles if you wanted) housed in a piece of plastic. The Wii-mote definitely does not cost the $40 they are selling it for either.

I highly doubt the Wii's maximum potential will provide anything the old XBOX flat-out couldn't do.
