Wii Owners: Would you buy another Nintendo console

Considering that they continue in the same direction the company is in?

I would not. I haven't enjoyed a wii game since HOTD overkill. All the "good" games like Red Steel 2, No more Hero's, etc do not appeal to me. The games seem like poor man versions of console games on the HD twins.

Of course Nintnedo games are the main reason why to own a Nintendo console. Sadly I haven't even wanted a Nintendo game since Mario Kart Wii. Even punchout Wii was a dissapointment due to the lack of new characters and even rehashes of the old ones.(3 day rental)

I've owned every Nintendo console from the Nes, Snes,N64,Gamecube, and Wii. This is my last one. I'm tired o the long game droughts and Nintendo as a company no longer speaks my language.

Yes I would, it's not like I can play Mario anywhere else.

Yes, I own more games for the Wii than for any other console bar the N64 (although it'll catch up soon), and I'm very satisfied with my collection.

Yes I would. I like their current direction with motion controlers and I feel it will be even better next gen. I also like the nintendo franchises and the fact that nintendo games are usually very accessible but well made.

Yes of course. The real question should be: Will 360 owners buy the next Microsoft console given all the 360 hardware failures?

Same direction their going in? If that means more games like Galaxy, Metroid Other M, Xenoblade, Last Story, Sin & Punishment.....sign me up.

The N64 and Gamecube left a very bad taste in my mouth. Wii was the palette cleanser. Nintendo redeemed themselves with the Wii. I can only expect great things with their next offering.

Hell yeah i'm gonna buy another Nintendo console, their games are still among the best, Metroid, Mario, Zelda, Smash, this franchise are always a must have in every gamer library. not to mention the always pleasent surprises Nintendo consoles deliver like NMH, so yeah, unless they forget all the beloved franchise, you can count me in for the next Nintendo.

nintendo put out some of there best first part games of all time so that would be a yes. Just cus some 3 party devs suck does not mean nintendo does .

I just want to add that if Nintendo keeps making this kind of games (look SMG2 review) then i must be crazy to not get their next console.

I might but I really want Nintendo to work at getting a system that can actually go up against the other compedetors, all the Wii has going for it really is the amount of people who bought the Wii within the first couple of years after its release, make a system with expandable memory, better graphics, and some better controls and Nintendo is set. Is there a single person who owns a Wii that didn't get the system because it had motion control, such an amazing idea and when it comes into practice we want to go back to the old controls but Nintendo says "No, we want you to suffer and have the least amount of Gamecube controller support." The graphics are also a big problom, either they make games with colorful graphics or make better graphics, look at Mario and World of Goo, these games look great and they don't need photorealistic graphics but developers seem to think that the Wii can make a game should-be good graphics still look good and still take up the whole screen, it's to hard and it's because Nintendo has to stay in the dark ages and give the Wii Gamecube graphics.

Absollutely. The wii hasn't disappointed me one bit.

It's gotten more play time than my PS3 and 360 put together (though to be fair, I only got the PS3 an hour and a half ago.)

Yes, because I actually researched the console and decided it was what I wanted, and I've enjoyed it far more than any other current gen console. Nintendo is doing it right and if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Hell yeah! I just about quit gaming all toegther until the DS and Wii came out.

IDK... a new Smash game is reason enough to get a new system for me but I might pass.

That depends on what the next nintendo console will be like. The next xbox on the other hand, I will not be buying.
