I would need a demo for a demo to see if that demo was worth 10-15 bucks. :P

If you make me pay for your demo I won't buy your game. Have at it.

Same here.
And if this turn out to be for every game I'm pretty sure I'll update my PC and try to get games for free. Don't know how though
If they think that charging us for a demo (when here in spain every fu**ing game costs 70€, and 2 years old game still cost 60€; the cheapest I've seen is Alone in the dark for 45€ new) will give them more money then they are so wrong!
I guess you both missed the part about EA charging both XBL and PSN users.. :|[QUOTE="OhSnapitz"][QUOTE="Game-fu"]
Lol, amen.
I thought this is why we had XBOX Live Gold?
Game-fu
I guess you missed the part where one of the advertised features of XBL Gold is free demos.
I guess you still missed the part where it was for psn and xbox live users. you all so forgot that your reply had nothing to do with the that. just an attempt for you to feel justified in focusing solely upon xbox live.TC, shouldn't you edit the thread title to be Will Gamers Pay for Demos, seeing as the story you linked to is not platform specific?
And heck no, paying for GT5p...err...I mean demos is ludicrous.
i actually thought about it but ur the only one who noticed um actually no multiple people have noticed and mentioned in it in the thread...[QUOTE="slvrraven9"]i hate Polyhpony Digital for doing this....racing1750lol, you have a point :P
Eh, that "demo" had as much content as many full-priced racing games, so take that for what it's worth. I liked GT5:P, but it lacked a real career mode, car customization, and good online. But, it wasn't meant to be a full game, so no problems here. Also, as far as I understand, they have released a Prologue for most, if not all, GT games to curb production costs and get feedback for the next game. This was the first, I think, one to hit the States though.
They are willing to pay for XBL so why not? You're kinda asking for it if you support (micro)transactions by using them to buy stuff, regardless of the service being provided or the quality of it. Developers will jump on the bandwagon since digital distribution (DLC, XBL/PSN games, M$ point/PSN Cards) is being widely support. Enjoy the fruits of your labour XBL subscribers!
This 360 owner won't. I barely play free demos as it is. I'll be damned if I'm going to pay for one.
Essentially all demos are is a way for these companies to advertise there products to get more interest and more potential buyers. With that said, why the heck would I want to pay a company to advertise there product!
[QUOTE="PSP107"][QUOTE="bobberts7"]ahh sorry just remembered concept for 3 bobberts7wait a min........ so there were GT games similar to prologue? if you didnt know thats strange there was concept for 3 and prologe for 4 and 5 i mean i wasnt a GT fan or it was a series we'd cared about but i remember my freind and i back 2001 got a PS2 the same day. His came with GT3. not 100% sure if it was GT3 Concept.
[QUOTE="Funconsole"]Simple logic here. Give me free demo...I buy full game. Give me paid demo...I dont buy game* *Some exceptions apply!*LOXO7It looks like they would make more money if people bought the demo. If they are thinking about $10-15. So ur saying people will actually pay $10-$15 for demos.
I most certainly will not! I think anyone with half a brain won't. Gamers, please don't let them get away with this! I think that should be a benefit of having Xbox Live or Playstation Network. You get the option of playing a demo to get an early peak at the game, which gives you an idea what the experience might be like. It's almost like the wave of DLC that is starting to bombard us. I remember on the original Xbox, you would get a lot of DLC free, as gratitude for purchasing their title. Now you are getting DLC hitting the market right after a game is released, as if it couldn't have fit on the disc, therefore eventuallypaying upto $100 for certain titles. Its getting ridiculous! I know we are not obligated to purchase it, but some of thesegames are released with about 6-9 hrs of play, therefore leaving you a bit empty after finishing it. Ireally am against the exclusive in game content for puchasing it at certain stores. If its' on the disc, it should be available.
[QUOTE="Guppy507"]I don't play demos anyway. :PPSP107why not? Because they take longer to download than the time I spend with them.
[QUOTE="PSP107"][QUOTE="Guppy507"]I don't play demos anyway. :PGuppy507why not? Because they take longer to download than the time I spend with them. It depends on the game, there are some that I can download in 5 minutes! Then again I have a high speed connection.:P
