Nah. For FPS this year, my money's on Bad Company 2. Also, you should probably add "console" to the thread title. Not that it'll help much.On consoles? From what I have seen so far, it still looks like Killzone 2 looks better but that's just my opinion.

Bad Company 2 looks good...but not that good.
i dunno but Crysis 2 will probably have better gameplay (although online gameplay is up in the air, Killzone 2 had decent online, can't recall Crysis mp ever being outstanding)

Factoring in destruction - yes. On top of that, I don't have any faith in Crytek's abilities working with fixed hardware - and let's not forget that their console team previously brought us the masterpiece known as HAZE (their last game as Free Radical).[QUOTE="Mystic-G"][QUOTE="lowe0"] Nah. How many times must this be repeated for people to understand?
Crysis 2 is being done at Crytek Frankfurt. All 3 versions of it. Crytek UK is doing bits and pieces, assisting on the project(as are ALL of Crytek's studios), but Crytek UK is NOT the primary developer for the console versions.
also, let me remind you that the tech is not even partially being built at Crytek UK. The original tech demo for CE3 was shown a mere month after Crytek acquired Crytek UK. If you think 1 month is enough time for any developer to produce a workable tech demo and engine, then you know nothing about game development. Crytek UK has its own project, which hasn't been shown yet.

It'll be the best looking average shooter available.kittyloaf69I agree, Crysis is the best average looking shooter available.
It'll be the best looking average shooter available.kittyloaf69Average shooters don't score 9.5 out of 10.
[QUOTE="kittyloaf69"]It'll be the best looking average shooter available.peaceoutmedusaI agree, Crysis is the best average looking shooter available. If Crysis is average so is nearly every FPS released this gen.
[QUOTE="Blazerdt47"]Nah. For FPS this year, my money's on Bad Company 2. Also, you should probably add "console" to the thread title. Not that it'll help much. Bad Company 2 looks MEH graphically. For such big maps it looks good, but not in comparison to the majority of games. The graphics lack a lot of polish. MW2's GFX are definitely superior from an objective standpoint. On consoles? From what I have seen so far, it still looks like Killzone 2 looks better but that's just my opinion.

Yeah but neither halo games worth their ratings or should i speak about gta iv? So i have to say i also found it average in terms of gunplay which is for me everything in an fps.
That tech demo at GDC with the disco lights looked stunning.Ravensmash
admit it, you wanted to jump in there with some glowsticks and rave it up.
Are ppl around here on drugs? KZ2 is arguably the best looking game on consoles period, better then UC2.battlefield bad company 2>>>>>>>>>>>>> Killzone 2

tech + graphics = awesome. truely awesome.
gunplay + gameplay = not awesome.
if it's so awesome then why do I choose a 9 year old game as my multiplayer fix of choice day after day?

crysis 2 is meant to be played on PS3 not PC or 360 i dont care what the graphics look like because ps3 dishes out all the graphics kings anyways so im not worried about that. what i am worried about is what they do with most multiplats, and that is to tone it down to meet the needs of the 360.Scar_Finger
Can you give us some of that kool aid you are drinking?PC is the way its meant to be played Crysis and there is NO port.Every platform gets the ground up treatment.

Yeah... And it is still made by Crytek which not only has a heavy PC gaming heritage, but comes from the PC dominated Germany. It will be designed like a PC game and it will certainly be best on the PC.

but they are talking up the ps3 alot in interviews so they are obviously more pleased with their PS3 productMore like they are emphasizing the strength of the Multiplatform engine... Most other multiplatform engines have significant issues with the PS3, or at the very best are absolutely painful to work with on the PS3.
Crytek is making sure to let possible licensees know that their engine doesn't suffer from those issues.
Quit trying to read into statements to suit your fanboyish opinions.

pretty sure them talking about maxing hardware out and getting premium results has nothing to do with "significant issues"[QUOTE="KingsMessenger"][QUOTE="Scar_Finger"] but they are talking up the ps3 alot in interviews so they are obviously more pleased with their PS3 productScar_Finger

pretty sure them talking about maxing hardware out and getting premium results has nothing to do with "significant issues"They aren't having issues... Also, Crytek has said on multiple occassions that the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will be pretty evenly matched graphically, and that the PC version will be leaps and bounds ahead of the console versions.
