Will Forza 4 be better than Gran Turismo 5?

Yes I believe it will absolute demolish Gran Turismo 5. Not only does it boast 500 cars andbeen developed in less time, but the footage we have seen so far shows impressive detail of more than just the cars themself. We have only seen a few cars though and one of the problems with GT5 was that the same kind of detail was lacking more a large portion of the garage. Forza 4 will have more modes also and kinect support obviously adds a whole new side to racing that we haven't been able to experience before. I've been blown away by everything about it so far and believe it will be the best simulation racer on the market until the next generation at least.

It pretty safe to think it will. Forza 3 is already a better game and Forza 4 improves in basically everything.

Well T10 have made 3 AAA games in a row and PD haven't made an AAA game in 10 years, so I think it's safe to say yes.

Forza 3 is better tan GT5

Forza 3 > GT5.

Forza 4 > Forza 3.

Therefore

Forza 4 >> GT5.

I'll be surprised if it isn't better.

Obviously, it's got the visuals, and it'll probably have the content. The main clincher for me is whether the driving model is as good as GT5's. Forza 3 was better in most ways than GT5, but I preferred GT5's driving model which is the most important part to me. Perhaps Forza 4 can improve on that.

GT5 isn't even the competition, FM3 is. GT5 was pretty lame to be honest, most cars aren't even premium. (Why wouldn't Veyron be premium?)MrGrimFandango

Forza 3 was as good if not better than GT5, now Forza 4 will have better graphics, more courses, more cars, improved customization and probably have tons of subtle improvements around the board, so Yea...Forza 4 will own easy.

I just picked up FM3 and I'm a little concerned on the braking and steering aspects of the game. Braking seemed a little stiff and even with assist off the steering felt unrealistic. I turned HARD going 130+ MPH trying to get up on 2 wheels :P and it didn't seem any different than under 60 mph? I am also overwhelmed by the sheer amount of DLC that is available. I'm guessing I got 20 "emails" stating they have gifted me a car, only to find out it is DLC? Anybody know what the total amount of DLC is available, cost wise? It looked like it was easily over $100 worth. I know I don't have to buy all or any of those, but I'm kind of sad about missing out on all these nice looking cars and tracks. I think if FM4 improves upon those aspects for me personally, I would have to agree and say yes, it will be better than GT5. I will provide further analysis once i get past level 20. Heil68

You should have picked up Forza 3 Ultimate edition. It came with almost all the DLC and its only $30.

If that Pirelli tire data implementation is as good as Dan Greenwalt say it is, then hell yes. They already have a better game, although I got around to enjoying GT5 quite a bit.

Headtracking is in GT5. All that other stuff is really not that compelling.

He said it wouldn't be a total transfer of eveything from F3 to F4. Your profile and settings would definitely transfer over along with all the skins and such that you made. I believe some of the cars and at least some of your money would transfer over but more would be turned into gift cards/coupons and you'd receive a lo t of "beast" gift cars. The idea being that they don't want you to feel like you lost all your progress.AncientDozer

Turn 10 should add the Reliant Robin to Forza 4 and have an achievement where you have to get it around the Top Gear track in a certain time without rolling it:P

As long as Turn10 isn't terribly mismanaged like Polyphony then yes it will.

Forza 3 IS better than GT5 so that should answer your question. Turn 10 have set the bar as far as racing games on consoles go, anything Polyphony does must at the very least match up to Turn 10's standard or its an automatic fail. So far there has been no answer to the great franchise that is Forza.

The only thing holding Forza back from being the perfect game is Drag Racing...

I'm glad Forza 3 included it but it was all wrong...the tires didnt stick or anything, so most FWD or RWD cars had awful times even if they had EVERYTHING done to them. The best time I ran (best tires, suspension etc) with my 600hp 350z was a 12.8 LOL.
