It's too much for the white gamecube to handle. Think of all the things that make Bioshock truly next gen: physics, AI, atmosphere.
You would pretty much get none of those with a Wii version.
If a developer such as Irrational decides to make a game like BioShock on the Wii, they will. There is nothing stopping them from doing so.foxhound_fox
I believe M$ has a contract on it for 360 and with games for windows, thus aint no ps3 version

Of course they can make BioShock on the Wii, with massive downgrades, maybe they can make a BioShock Tactics or something to keep the sheep happy.
I have to agree. Graphics are key to immersion, and Bioshock excels in this.Wii simply cannot create the same level of immersion because of the lack of proper graphical power. It's too much for the white gamecube to handle. Metroid Prime 3 is Wii's Bioshock.Nintendo_Man
i mean bioshock, bioshock u know the fps, not "sonic+megawoman" treoid prime 3...something with a cool story
I dont even think Halo 1 is possible on the wii.RedMarzBoy
have you played metroid? Probably not if you come up with a BS comment like that. Metroid looks much better than halo 1
Metroid Prime 3 is just as deep as Bioshock. Just with less A.I. and physics.Sir-Marwin105
graphics too, textures, and overall polish

I think you need to reread his first post. It is 100% directed at Bioshock.
even fanboys should know Wii can't handle those graphics
but Wii will get amazing games in time
look at DS.....games now PWN
DS had no games for the first year or so
....now look at it!!!
[QUOTE="RedMarzBoy"]I dont even think Halo 1 is possible on the wii.Sir-Marwin105:|graphics wise maybe. But im not sure about textures, AI and open busy environments.Â
 Yeah, it's called Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, pretty much makes every other console FPS obsolete and is an amazing game. There is no doubt that Metroid is the biggest contender at this point for FPS GOTY.DSgamer64
Yeah, it would make every other console FPS obsolete, if this was 2003.
even with massive downgrades I dont think it could run Bioshock smoothly , I mean look how xbox choked on half life 2 and HL2 is a 2004
and wii and xbox are basically equal in power

Aside from the little problem of the hardware being completely incapable of something even close. Face it sheep Nintendo screwed everyone over with the Wii hardware. They could've easily made a no-loss $250 system capable of 720p near 360 quality visuals. And I do mean EASILY. They did with the $199 Gamecube being close to the Xbox. Instead we get a $250 Gamecube era machine that costs MORE than the Gamecube launched at 6 YEARS AGO. It's making Nintendo big money ripping everyone off but it prettymuch blew any chance of complete domination since it can't handle most any PS3/360 multiplat.
The Wii just cannot and will not ever get any game even close to Bioshock. Hell the Wii won't even see anything that goes past 2004 PC games.

Far Cry couldnt be down on xbox so they rebuilt it
Crysis cant be done on 360 so I expect them to do the same

How do you know they could have made a no-loss $250 system near visual quality of the 360? Just look at the cost of the 360. MS was actually losing money selling it at $400 and you think Nintendo can make a no-loss $250 system to get near visual qualities of the 360? Sounds more like BS. In fact, even if they did, fanboys would still crap all over it.
Two things:
1. Bioshock is essentially a new version of System Shock 2. The Wii could easily have games like that, if the developers tried. The technical aspects are not the impressive thing about Bioshock. I'd say harping on technical aspects is doing a disservice to the game. It's about making choices and customization, like an RPG. I see no reason the Wii couldn't do that.
2. Metroid Prime 3 is absolutely nothing like Bioshock.
>_>

Or are you saying that having the capability to run an engine a game is built on is not a prerequisite for playing the game? If so, then we are all happy, even the Wii can run Crysis despite being incapable of running CryEngine 2. Solid theory huh?
bioshock on the wii?
well how bout' Gears of War 2 a DS exlusive LOL ;)
StrayMBlasTER
i dont think that will happen til sometime in 2008, imean there are so many Wiis and more DSs

Stop this sheep, you are NOT getting the good stuff. Just go get a PS3 or 360. You could cut bioshock in half and it would be twice as powerful as the wii. Not gonna happen!Unholy_Smite

Not everyone wants to spend $3,000-$5,000 in hardware alone, when for $500 you buy a PS3 and you get about the same graphics, UT3 for example.

You call the PS3 and 360 inferior to the Wii? Sorry but you fail uberhard there. PC's cost to much and and 360 is a better option price wise and control the PS3. The "multiplats" ARE best on those 2 and PC's have major cost and control issues. I can't collect PC games because I can't afford to upgrade my memory enough to hold them.

You do get the same graphics on a PS3. And PC's don't cost 3000 to 5000.

If you want to play Crisis without a major downgrade they do.

no they dont. we have had many threads and posters post enough hardware specs enough times to show that PC like that is not needed. Please Log In to post.
