Will Metroid: Other M be better than the Prime series?

Metroid Prime was one of the best thing ever created by Nintendo. It was loved by critics and players alike. Metroid Prime games have consistently been good. Now, with Team Ninja's Metroid on the way, MP is gonna get a tough competitor. Which do you think will be better? The tried and true Metroid prime? Or the soon to come, mature, violent, exciting (with voice acting) Metroid: Other M?

I think its gonna be great, but not as good. What do you think?

I have honestly no idea. The concept looks cool. But we need more to judge on.

Too early to tell but it did look good to me.

Well I certianly hope so, and as a long time metroid fan, of course I am still sceptical about Other M, but I do trust that Nintendo and Team Ninja will make this game awesome. Prime was one of my favuorite games ever so its gonna be hard to top that.

The trailer looked extremely cool to be honest. Gave me second thoughts about selling my Wii.DivergeUnify

No because Prime was a huge change for the series it was a first person action adventure and Metroid Prime was simply outstanding.

No It won't be better, but maybe trying to compare the two series is a mistake. I think it has potental to be just as good.

I've never played the Metroid Prime series, but I'm generally a bit meh about first-person shooters, so I would probably enjoy Other M more than Prime.

It looks great but if I had to bet I would say it won't be better than the Prime games.

I've never played the Metroid Prime series, but I'm generally a bit meh about first-person shooters, so I would probably enjoy Other M more than Prime.

It's too early to say at the mo.

Metroid, Super metroid and Metroid Prime were genre deffining games. What makes you think this wont be on par?

pls, pls , pls - corridor levels ala 2d metroid- open spaces ala prime, maybe, hopefully. Stir in that a bit of team ninja close quarter action and i think we have a winner!!!

i think everyone is overlooking one thing when they say that this game won't be better than Metroid Prime. Sure Team Ninja is working on the game, but they are working with Nintendo R&D1. Nintendo R&D1 are the developers credited for

-Metroid (NES)

-Metroid 2 (Gameboy)

-Super Metroid

-Metroid Fusion (GBA)

-Metroid Zero Mission (GBA

I prefer the 2D Metroids to the Prime games and this new one looks a lot more like these fantastic 2D itterations

With only one trailer,I don't think it is possible to say whether it'd be better or not.Considering the quality of its predecessors,it might end up being a great game.

Nah, it'll all work out - trust nintey. What i wanna see i a 2D game on the Ds that can rival Super Metroid

The prime sequels...yeah maybe. But the first one? HAHA dont make me laugh!!!!!!!! The graphics also need alot of work to do...
