Will Microsoft fall without games?

Let's face it, the 360 has no games besides Halo, Gears, and Forza. Halo 4 is coming out this year. That's just one game this year that my 360 will get.

How will microsoft even step into next gen without any games? Everyone is saying "Sony's doomed," when they clearly aren't and actually have games,

I simply cannot see myself getting a 720. Microsoft simply has no games besides Gears and Halo. Why should I pay for live either, and then be plastered with ads covering 75% of my dashboard?

They have plenty of games. What they've proven is that offering an enticing system with few exclusives (in terms of later years) wins out against systems offering more exclusives.

Will this work through the next gen? I have no idea. However they've shown that bringing in exclusive DLC or timed DLC/expansions helps greatly along with a great multimedia system.

MS has the US in its pocket and that's what matter because software sales will always be high.

I share YoshiYogurt's concerns about the lack of upcoming releases for the 360 platform. The launch date of the "720" is still an unknown, so I guess all anyone can do is cross their fingers that MS will come to the party with some great launch titles. I'm not holding my breath for Nintendo, Sony or MS though. Any of them could be awesome, and of them could fail miserably. Wii U will be first out that gate, it will be interesting.

For 2012, the games review aggregation site Metacritic gives the average of Microsoft games as 77.2 (out of 100); The highest score among the first-party publishers. The closest first-party publisher is Nintendo at 74.4. Wikipedia

Games have little to do with MS's overall business. I think Windows 8 will fall on its face, and if a new software developer steps in with a better OS we will see them start to fall.

At least, that's what is sorely needed in the PC market.

That's funny. Considering the 360's vast library of games. Tell me, how did you come to that conclusion regarding multiplats?

Also, I doubt the PS3 and Wii have more exclusives than 360.
