[QUOTE="Locutus_Picard"][QUOTE="WilliamRLBaker"] and yet more people purchased ODST, and played it online then kz2...hell even the firefight mode got more players then kz2...AdobeArtist
Yeah and? Common knowlegde that shooters get played more often on the 360 whereas PS3 owners play a much more diverse amount of genres. Just count the amount of shooters (be it TPS or FPS) in the top 10 of most played games on XBL. I'm not one of those people that play shooters in 4-hour sessions each day and rejoyce about the amount of online players in their favourite shooter on XBL.Completely flawed logic there.
First, 360's library is just s diverse as PS3's, if not more so. There are just as many action adventure games, RPGs, strategy, racers, sports, and fighters. In fact 360 has an exclusive fighter, DOA, while every fighter on PS3 is found on 360.
Second, lots of the non-shooter games don't have multiplayer component. You don't have it in Prince of Persia, Assassin's Creed (at least not until Brotherhood comes out), Mirror's Edge, Batman AA, Tomb Raider, Oblivion, Dragon Age, etc... So of course it's going to be the shooters you see played most on Live. Those are the games most commonly with an online multiplayer component. Kinda hard to see an owners complete library on XBL charts when many aren't possible to play on that venue.
Maybe if your talkiing about low scoring games, if you check gamerrankings, the top 20 30 games and around there show the PS3 has many more exclusives and much more variety. The 360 really couldn't keep up with the PS3 this gen.
