The ps3 definitely appears to have more variety in online games. All in all, I'd say there are probably a lot more shooter fans on the 360, simply because of Halo. But, I think there are better shooters than Halo on both consoles, and on the ps3 there's just a lot of different style games to choose from.

I just got Socom: Confrontation and I'm liking it. I feel like a dolt for not picking up this game a long time ago.

The entire existence of this thread is some feeble attempt to have peopel think PS3 is way better then 360. Its not. Nor is 360 way better then PS3. They are very much the same and are both great, so everyone pelase just stop. 360 having more 8.0 or higher games that sold more dosent really make it a better console, nor does PS3 having arguably better Exclusvies and free online make it the unanimous better console. Both excel at different key areas, and anyoen saying one is better then teh other is just opinon.

I've only played a handful of matches and I didn't have the DLC, so there were a lot of rooms I couldn't go into. I'm downloading the DLC now though, hopefully it's good. I have only noticed a little pop-in, and haven't had any trouble with brightness in the maps I've played in.

Regardless, you should get Digital Video Essentials and calibrate your new TVs settings. It's the surest way to get the best picture.

i think that the ps3 is the actual king of shooters. because lets face it we have more quality shooters than the 360. KZ2, R2, R1, UC1, UC2, MGS4,Warhawk the list goes on. 360 really only has Halo 3 and GEOW, GEOW 2 and ODSTand thats really about it
