That pic I just have to shake my head to. The disk tray! lol. Comon MS is in last gen with that disk tray.[QUOTE="AdobeArtist"]

360 is broken. I bet the user bases are near identical by now with all of the 360 rebuys people are making.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiight. If we were to apply that logic, then the PS2 user base is also only 1/3 of the purported 120+ million, what with the DRE and other issues it had in its day. The only difference being, Sony didn't offer a warranty for broken PS2's, forcing people to either pay the repair cost or just buy a new system. MS on the other hand had a 1 year warranty for the RRoD and then later 3 years for that and E74, the 3 year coverage being retroactive.
So really, which is more likely of sales numbers being padded? PS2 with no coverage by its maker, or 360 with 1 and then 3 year retroactive warranty allowing users FREE repair? ;)
Suuuuuuuure. Then lets apply this logic as you allready did. That is right! Woot woot GOAL!!!! PS2 has padded sales numbers for two reasons. PS2 life span isn't 9 years(rebuys) and it has been out 9 YEARS. This is typical that PS2 would have that many sales. We shall see when 360 reaches 9 years ( )and see's how many sales it has only when we can compare fairly. Oh wait what does this have anything to do with the 360 v PS3...?
I know, not heard of, Know many people who bought more than one 360. I didn't ask why they did because it would get the sense that I am taunting and I'm a superstitious person, if I pry then I would get the same happen to me. My assumtions are just as good as yours. But one bought the pro and then traded it in for an elite. So that counts for two sales. Am I saying this happend with 5 million people?... YES. With other variations in dealing with failures.
Edit: Oh yes. I thought that Megan Fox comercial was hilarious when it went to "her" hand part. ...her thumbs don't look like that? :D
You are completely missing the point of my post. I was illustrating how ludicrous "theories" of sales padding are when you don't factor in all the circumstances. Like 360 having long time free repair support. You trying to claim 5 million people rebought instead of using a free alternative is nothing short of irrational, and indictive of desparation when you grasp for straws. You don't have a shred of evidence to sopport your claim except maybe a "gut feeling". Problem being that feeling would be slanted by a bias you display with every word of your post.
And speaking of grasping for straws, the disc tray is a "last gen" feature? Really? So somehow, how the disc gets into the machine makes a difference in the complexity of the code data, or how its processed by the CPU and GPU? Last I checked, the only actual qualifiers for next gen from a technical standpoint (keep in mind from a marketing standpoint what ever model replaces its predecessor is the next gen system) is the CPU and GPU architecture. That's after all what runs the games, not the method of inserting the media.
