Will The Witcher 2 De-Thrown Skyrim as The Best RPG On 360 ?

Hey!!... C'mon now, I'll just leave these here... and say it again: DARK SOULS!

Overrated imo (I hate using the term, but damn, if there's ever been 3 games that I hear about constantly that I just didn't "get")

Awesome games, but I've never really understood the fanatical devotion to them. I really didn't find them to be this paragon of gaming never to be achieved again, wheres the BG series and ES series (MW in particular) left me amazed. I'd still not say that no game has come close to their quality in the modern day, though. Hell, Halo CE left me more amazed than those games.

Either elaborate or stop posting. Saying "it's your opinion"/"it's my opinion" can be fine for a middle school rant and that's it. People who have grown a brain know if it was all just a matter of opinions then every discussion would be pointless.

Skyrim is the most overrated game ever. Certainly didn't live up to my expectations and I'm sure many other veteran ES players were disappointed. That said 360 has a ton of RPG's that are several times better than Skyrim, including it's predeccesor.

A lot of the BAWWWWWWW about Skyrim is trite, untrue, or not even close to objective.

Not to mention that the games are really nothing alike other than the fact that they have swords, magic and dragons--which is apparently all you need in common for the simpletons on GS to consider it similar enough to merit a comparison.

Not to mention Skyrim netted a 96 metascore to Dark Soul's 89.

So, actually, that's just your opinion, man.

Witcher 2 is a horrible game, first few hours are okey but once game opens up its a terrible unfinished mess

It's the best in the series.

"Story sucks"

Better than Oblivion, not quite as good as Morrowind (which itself is a partial Dune rip-off, but most stories imitate others so it gets a pass) and FAR better than either DS game. Witcher 1 and 2 blows both out of the water without even slowing down in this category.

"Graphics suck"

Wrong. DS has an edge in animation, but as far as overall? I really don't see how DS surpasses it. Constantly over-dark corridors don't make awesome graphics. Again, Witcher 2 blows both out of the water in quality and style.

I'll give it that, but the same could be said of DS.

I'm not here to say one game is better than the other, and as I mentioned, I think DS is better. My objection was mostly to your implication that somehow that your opinion that DS > ES5 is a fact is a bit pretentious. They're nothing alike, so the comparison itself is rather silly, but to state one is definitively better than the other? You're talking about two top tier games that are not even competing. That's like saying Michael Jordan is a better athlete than Barry Bonds (though I'll admit, I don't think either game would rate that high, relatively).

At least TC's Witcher 2 vs. Skyrim comparison was SP WRPG vs. SP WRPG instead of MP JRPG vs. SP WRPG (and you can't deny that one of the most SIGNIFICANT aspects of the Souls games is the unique online interaction). And even as simply a single player game, the Souls games have far more in common with games like the PS/GBA/DS Castlevania games than they do with Skyrim. Hell, they have more to do with Metroid and Zelda than they do with Skyrim. It's just a pointless comparison.

the trees, the armors, the enviroments.... graphically, Skyrim looks good FROM A FAR, up close, it has A LOT of rough edges(although, in it's defense, that isn't a surprise considering it's size).

1) But it ain't all that bad either.

2) See 1 (and the comparison is to DS, in which case, it's way better).

3) The textures are better because it has nowhere near the same expansiveness. I'd be tempted to give DS the edge in style, though, but like everything about ****ing DS and Skyrim, they're neither trying to be or are anything alike.

4) Both are repetitive, but the same could be said of plenty of games; I don't have a problem. I like what they got.

As I've mentioned, I think DS is a better game--my main contention is this idea that thinking Skyrim is worse than DS is a fact is ridiculous, mostly because they're nothing alike.

I'd say that New Vegas is the best rpg on 360, and judging by The first Witcher, The Witcher 2 isn't a good game.
