Pretty much the topic title. I game quite regularly, but from the most part I seem to be feeling the effect of "been here, done that". Don't worry, I'm not losing hope in gaming, because I've gained some amazing experienced from this hobby, especially this gen. I'm just curious about other peoples views, and whether they still see themselves gaming in the future. :)

Such a grim topic, I apologize. :P

Dataleak

Been playing since I was 8, I'm now 37. play with my 15 year old, and can't wait for my 2 month old little girl to get big enough to hold a controller, I'll be playing until Death or Arthritis stops me! ;)

Yes, maybe, no. I'll be 50 in 20 years; I don't think I'll still have the reaction time or dexterity.

Yeah, I will continue. In fact, I should test my own games for see if they are good in the future.

I'm 28 and play more games now than I ever have, never was one for it before. I think it's 'cause I like going out less.

Yes you will. I may not be top dog material and much closer to the big 5-0. But, I can still rub it in sometimes on my almost 3-decades younger nephews and their younger-than-me uncles, at least in BF2. I don't go online that much with other games. Heck. I can still smoke them with my jumpers and 3-point bombs (basketball) in real life. Well, so long as it's half-court. Ha Ha!. My knee isn't what it used to be. I can still jog fine. But, fastbreak sprints are hard on my knees. Same with soccer. That one I gave up. But, I can still juggle the ball for 10-15 minutes (both feet/legs).

-----

So long as you devote the time for physical/sports activities along with your gaming, you'll be fine.

I expected to never quit gaming. But after having graduated last year and now working a busy job, I must say I notice that I don't play as much as I used to. I've been gaming all my life, so I'll always do some gaming I guess. But I'm sure it won't ever be as much as I use to when I was younger.

I'll probably stop after 10 or so more years (I'm 20 right now). I'll probably start playing again if I ever have a son. I'll have to own him in every game since by then games will be so casualized that any game will seem like EZ Mode

my gaming has significan't decreased as I got older. I'm 25 now and I don't really play many games anymore. I spend most of my time working, going to school, and on the fiance. When I'm older and have kids that'll probabely make me game less too. I watch more movies now cause they seem to go by quicker than me playing games. Although I do play my sega saturn and sega genesisevery now and then.

But I still wish I had more time to play videogames. maybe when i'm not in school anymore i'll have more time? either way chances are i'll still buy all the consoles that come out so i'll still be able to play games :D

I've been gaming for 25 years so I can definitely see myself gaming in the next 15 or 20 years. Of course, being married with a kid I can't devote the same time as I used to, but that's ok.

I'm 41 now, as long as I can hold a pad I don't see why I wouldn't be gaming when I'm 60.

It depends. If gaming continues down the current path and becomes almost entirely digital distribution, no.

I hope so. I probably won't be playing the same type of games but I think i'll still be playing games. Stopping games because of age kinda feels like not listening to music, reading books or watching movies because you're too old for this ****.

Because playing games is about owning plastic cases, and internet speed and storage space will never get any better, right?

I'm not saying that DD is great for everyone today, but if you really enjoyed gaming why would that stop you? Seems silly to quit a hobby you like because you now receive the goods in a different way. Unless owning plastic is what you really enjoyed anyway. May I suggest action figures?
