Difference is MTs in GT Sport is optional you clown. You don't have to buy it, and it doesn't have any affect the gameplay of GT for people who choose not to buy MTs.

If MS starts making regular Win 10 users pay for updates it won't be optional.

That's a big "if," as well as the fact that there is no guarantee that it will be mandatory.

I know that it's still an "if" scenario but until MS comes out to officially let us know that it doesn't concern Home Users people have a right to be worried.

Micro-transactions are great because "You don't have to buy it". Remember that.

Good, as long as it doesn't affect me I have no problem with it. I just hope like you say MS is smart enough to realize that this will never fly with regular Win10 users like myself. I guess the reason I'm a bit nervous about this is because of the way they tried to implement DRM at the start of the gen even though everyone with a brain knew it was a bad idea. Let's hope they have learned their lesson over the years, and realized that forcing things on their customers is a bad idea.

Microsoft used to release a new os every 3 years and charge around $80, so to the user it was like $2.2 per month, think about that....

@quadknight: Look at GFWL, when they tried to charge PC users. Very short-lived. The gaming division failed pretty hard this gen, but overall, their Windows products have been fairly on point. I'm in the exact same boat, in that I won't pay monthly for this.

Yup, I hope their Windows division stays on point, they have been pretty good with Win10 so far and I'm happy using it. I hope they don't get any bad ideas from their dumb gaming division in the future.
