That doesn't refute the argument. CDProjekt are tackling 3 systems, along with a budget and manpower. The Order would have faced less issues, due to being exclusive and Sony were probably lax with a timeframe, in order to get a shit product out of the door.

I've never understood why people have been clinging to the game being downgraded. Consoles are in the end going to have the worse versions, it's not like they're going to be the best, so why all the fuss about a downgrade?

Cut the game some slack. It needs to run on dudboxone with it's ddr3 ghetto ram. It's gonna be another gen of sloppy ghetto late dud ports for PC I'm afraid.

...Is easily destroyed graphically by upcoming PC exclusives like SC, UT, and Dreadnought, because they aren't being held back by the garbage parity. It's also a load of shit, compromising all of it's gameplay just to confine you to what it wants you to see. It's a farce of a game by any standards.

The game is built for consoles; the Witcher 3 is not a pc game.

The sooner pc gamer put the torches of triumph on the floor, accept the reality the situation, moving on accordingly, the less emotional pain will ultimately be inflicted upon release.

We're less than two months away from release and we still don't know what Ultra on PC looks like.

The downgrade was the console versions on display as PC 'high', although they are now running 'medium' settings. Downgrade confirmed.

It's obviose my friend, as with 99% of pc games, 1% visual difference, 40% performance drop.

Pick any pc game, take a high/ultra comparison, spot the difference.

@gamecubepad: No it wasn't. Every trailer was showed on PC. They already had the console versions running at a event and it was mostly on high settings. So it's possible they have showed some trailers running on lower settings.

I thought we were talking about the footage they've been demonstrating. It was said to be 'high' and you got a sense it representing the console version since they ran the versions in tandem, but then it came out in jan/feb that the consoles were running at sub-high settings. I agree it was running off a PC for the vids.

Comparing The Order and Killzone..... their not even in the same league in what is being done , comparing linear, narrow scoped game styles to an open world type game... ok

Here is an idea, ask yourself why they aren't showing ultra settings? Why are they not showcasing Nvidia Hairworks and all the other features?

Maybe it could be, because they don't want a backlash or give false impression of what the game lacks on consoles by showing maxed out on Pc.

Look at all the bad press and backlash like most the Ubi games have gotten and others by "lying" showing what is not there. Trailers made back in 2013 was well before all the backlash from games being half-assed and didn't meet expectations what was showcased shorty prior to release.

Best thing to do is wait and see what the final product will look like maxed on Pc to gauge if there has been an actual significant "downgrade"

lol just no, regional pricing is an issue on all platforms. But no CD aren't greedy you can pre order TW3 for 32 pounds on pc.

@gamecubepad: They said it was basically equal to high, with more stutter and the X1 featuring slightly low res textures. I doubt they just said **** it lets just lower all the settings.
