Yet another person i know is giving up on PS3 because he loves Skyrim so much and was very angry to discover how Sony allocated the ram in the PS3 hardware.

Once he saw how smoothly Skyrim ran on my 360, he said he had enough, as soon as he could afford it he was trading up his PS3 for the 360 to play Skyrim and other multiplat games much smoother.

Sad fact for Sony fans but true.

I don't know, you seem kind of obsessed with 360. Actually you seem more obsessed with PS3 and how much it sells (which you are wrong about), what's wrong? Did Santa not bring you a PS3 for Christmas? Don't worry next year you can ask him for more exclusives.

And something else you need to unerstand is why the PS3 is in more demand than the 360, the PS3 is more expensive than 360 is in the current market and that's because of demand.

More people would rather spend more money on a PS3 than a 360 because the PS3 is worth more value to them. It's not hard to udnerstand, it's called supply and demand. Take an economic class.

And wether you like PS3 exclusives or not is your opinion, alot of people enjoy them and they obviously sell pretty well because they keep making more exclusives and alot of them have sequels.

Also to prove you wrong about only PS3 fanboys buying exclusives, do you know EVERY person that bought EVERY PS3 exclusive? Did you go up and talk to all of them and find out if their fanboys? Obviously you didn't....

Right...that's only because of the huge success off of PS2 & because of Sony constantly doing price drops to even be competitive with the 360 to get more sales (just like Nintendo did with the 3DS), & to not lose too many 3rd party support. But as a result of that, they lost a ton of money for this gen, & may not even afford to do it for next gen (especially not for PS Vita to lower the price to something like $150 to $170 just to even catch up to 3DS in sales, because it'll really cripple them, & Sony knows it).

Next gen, I find it hard for the PS4 to even catch up with the Wii U or the next Xbox console, because the PS3 isn't exactly hugely successful like the PS1 & the PS2 were.

Considering that alot of consumers got screwed with the RROD and online fees and taking into the fact that MS main focus has shifted to Kinect, the average gamer might jump ship to the competition as they don't like the direction MS has taken and don't like being screwed over by them (again online fees, RROD ect..). PS Vita has cross game chat, so PS4 most likely will aswell and considering it will most likely be FREE people will go with that. Xbox Live wil need to offer more or make it free just like PSN.

MS isn't stupid to make their next gen console horrendous, especially given that it costed them $1 billion (which they made back by now), & are certainly not dumb to just focus on casual gaming, because it'll be their downfall. PS Vita has cross game chat, so PS4 most likely will aswell and considering it will most likely be FREE people will go with that. Xbox Live wil need to offer more or make it free just like PSN.

I know alot of people who got a 360 and are disspaointed with it, they wish the ywould have gotten a PS3 instead. But because they put in so much money into the 360 and so much time with their games they have no choice but to keep it. If you ask them, they wish they would have gone with PS3. The biggest factor is MS lack of exclusvies, and when next gen rolls around people might jump ship if MS doesn't change things.

MS isn't stupid to make their next gen console horrendous, especially given that it costed them $1 billion (which they made back by now), & are certainly not dumb to just focus on casual gaming, because it'll be their downfall. Plus even Sony may hop onto the bandwagon of charging for online play for PS4.

Just saying, don't assume that everyone's going to easily hop onto PS4 like you think.

Anything is possible, but it's more accuate to think that Sony will keep multiplayer free (it really costs nothing to do so) but make PS Plus mor attractive, and MS could go either way. But I have a feeling they might make online multiplayer free, it all depends on who comes out first though. Of course this is all just speculation because we know next to nothing about these systems besides internet rumors, and as we all know they arn't reliable. And yes that goes for Youtube videos aswell ;)

Oh and the term causal and hardcore gaming are kinda jokes I think, different audiences yes but I don't think gaming makes somebody "hardcore". It's a freakin' hobby, and MS doesn't have many exclusive Devs so you better hope they get some by the time teh next Xbox rolls around. Becauase as of right now it's all about Kinect and the occasional Halo game, but Halo isn't the giant it used to be. COD kinda stole it's crown, not saying Halo is bad mind you, but it doesn't have the same impact as it used to. The next Xbox is going to need something new.

I'm talking about the 360 and the ps3. Visually, Skyrim isn't a eye catcher by ANY means outside the PC only because I have yet to see it on PC.

But i honestly disagree. Skyrim, like any open world game, can go from beautiful vistas and interiors to average ones. The best moments of it look simply fantastic, in my opinion.

You see, in today's current market, the PS3 is cosnidered to be a better and more quality product than the 360, the PS3 is considered a better value over the 360. In short more people are willing to spend more money for a PS3 than a 360 because the 360 is worth less to them.

And both Sony and MS have lost some money this gen, MS lost it with the RROD and Sony wth the overpriced launch and PSN hack. But they have both made a profit by selling their systems. And you would have to be an idiot to think there won't be a PS4, all companies will be around next gen. Anyone who thinks oherwise is a moron.

Xbox 360 Slim implements "Fusion" design i.e. one chip package for the CPU, GPU and framebuffer eDRAM. It makes the PCB cheaper.

On 32 nm or 28 nm process node, if AMD/IBM/MS/GoFlo can integrate the southbridge into XCGPU chip package,then PCB can made even cheaper.

Its known that most of the lag problems can be cleared up by having more hard drive space because the PS3 uses the hard drive as a page file, similar to what PCs do when there isnt enough RAM.

Have a 500gb hdd and other than two lockups over 50 hours of playtime I have yet to experience any problems.

Trolls need fresh material. Trying to squeeze more out of Bethesda's failures on the PS3 version at this point reeks of desperation.

Yet another person i know is giving up on PS3 because he loves Skyrim so much and was very angry to discover how Sony allocated the ram in the PS3 hardware.

Once he saw how smoothly Skyrim ran on my 360, he said he had enough, as soon as he could afford it he was trading up his PS3 for the 360 to play Skyrim and other multiplat games much smoother.

Sad fact for Sony fans but true.
