Go to your local gamestore and buy the damn game, everyone who consideres them a "gamer" HAS to try this game, My fav franchises are MGS, FF, I love a good fps, I´m into sports games, just to get the point across you don´t have to like the warcraft universe to be amazed. This game has everything you want in a game, a huge community(15k on each server) has a HUGE world map, if you were to try to walk acorss the whole thing it would take you forever, thousands of items, quests, it has the blizzard touch you know what I´m talking about. Some of the most fulfilling gaming experiences I´ve had have been with wow, getting a group of friends together trying to take down a boss is really very rewarding, each boss has their own tactic, everyone has to do their part, I don´t even know where to start. Juts like the review said, no matter who you are everyone should play this game. And no you don´t have to lose your life to play wow, what happens often is your sucked into the community and you get competitive, you want to stand out, so you play more to get better gear, it´s easily controlable. PLAY IT!

PS: As for the monthly fee, this is the first time I´ve ever played a game with a monthly fee what have I leanred? If a MMORPG comes out that doesn´t have a monthly fee the game is going to be crap.

If you play, put down your char, race, lvl =P

Tried it, played it, moved on.

I've put a little more time into it than in most games, but I don't feel like it's worth all my time. I might want to play it now and then, but that subscription can be a ***** for those playing it casually. I've been okay.

I hope Warhammer can get it roght, from what understand it´s a WoW meets Daoc type of thing, and that´s exactly what I want. I hope it doesn´t flop.

I put 120 days ingame time into WoW, then i noticed how many other great games were out there. It sucks up your life and doesn't let go, avoid at all costs! Play Minesweepers instead, its better for you in the long run.

LOL that´s not true, you have to be strong, I still play other games, I bought a PS3 and play it a lot, I still go out with friends pretty much every night. I really think WoW is the perfect "filler" for all your extra time. Whenever I have nothing to do I always have WoW to play.

What kind of gamers are you guys? you clearly don´t know aht your talking about, time you enjoy wasting isn´t time wasted, and WoW is worth every penny, not to mention the fact you´ll save loads of money on other games.

I played it, was addicted to it, and I noticed how much of my life I was wasteing on it, and I also noticed that it was just a waste of time and not even that great of a game, so I gave up on it. I put 2 years into it. I stoped at the expansion. I had lvl 60 Shaman (Deathbeam) lvl 60 rouge (Deathknife), lvl 60 warlock (Darkbeam).

WoW is PVE based though =o if it has any flaws it really is that it´s to pve based and not enough pvp based.

I gave up playing after BWL at lvl 60, then I got back a couple months after TBC launched, I like most of the changes, it´s a lot more casual friendly now.

I played it, got a few toons to 60. Did the raiding thing on two of them ("hardcore" guild, schedules, 40 man, "phat lewtz", you know the drill). By the time BC started approaching I grew disillusioned with my current guild - my understanding of BC discouraged me from rerolling on a new server and thus I decided to quit completely.

Thought about starting up again now that I'm essentially done with college but have a year of "slack-off" time before law school (aka senior year) but only in passing and I ultimately decided against it. Just not interested anymore.

oh but it is, there are no more 40man groups, max is 25, I´m currently only doing karazhan which is 10man so basically you don´t have to go through the whole hardcore 40man raid thing, there are great pvp rewards, great arena rewards, a lot of good tailoring stuff, it really is easier now to get good gear without killing yourself. The Hardcore 60 guilds are pretty much all dead, everyone turned casual.

No seriously who are you trying to kid? the 25 mans are just as hard as the 40-mans were, in many ways harder, everything is an instance grind 5-mans / heroics ... 20x over to get gear if you dont raid.

The Arena teams are still dominated by the Tier 4 / 5 / 6 players, the casuals dont ever get to see gladiator gear.

The Pvp honor rewards are pathetic, in return there is only a fraction of BG servers to what there originally was.

Warriors - have to grind every resistance set (AKA get exhalted with reps to get first) just to progress.

The Hardcore is there and more than ever.

Well I guess your right, if your used to being "ontop" your going have to invest a lot of time to get theri again at 70, that is true. I guess it comes down to the way you want to play.

Nice gear btw, well I think there has be a hardcore side to WoW, simply because there are hardcore players. I guess what I meant by "everyones casual" now is that Blizz did a good job of giving causuals decent gear. Ofc if your looking to be truly imba you have to go hardcore.

I quit playing about 15 months ago. But I had a level 47 Orc Warlock, a 27 Undead Rogue, and a level 9 Human Priest.

It was way to addicting and kept me from doing other things, like hanging with friends, doing homework, spending time with the family, etc.

I have been playing wow for a while, 70 orc shaman, 62 orc warrior 51 human warrior etc etc.

It is fun because of the teamwork with other people and having your character grow. Plus there is a lot of content and areas to explore. However this game has taken time away from other games I havent finshed. Plus me and my brother do game design as a hobby and he's been so into running our guild in WOW we haven't done any projects in a while. So I'm not as into it I as I used to be.

PS: As for the monthly fee, this is the first time I´ve ever played a game with a monthly fee what have I leanred? If a MMORPG comes out that doesn´t have a monthly fee the game is going to be crap.

Conclusive proof against this FUD: It's a very impressive game that's rewarding on many different levels and can be tremendously appealing for any number of reasons.

I don't think I'm missing out on World of Warcraft. Even though I like playing MMORPGs, this game just does not appeal to me.

[QUOTE="Snagal123"]I put 120 days ingame timeinto WoW, then i noticed how many other great games were out there. It sucks up your life and doesn't let go, avoid at all costs! Play Minesweepers instead, its better for you in the long run.Eddie-Vedder

LOL that´s not true, you have to be strong, I still play other games, I bought a PS3 and play it a lot, I still go out with friends pretty much every night. I really think WoW is the perfect "filler" for all your extra time. Whenever I have nothing to do I always have WoW to play.

filler? you're not very high lvl are you?

No thanks... I prefer RPG's that are intriguing and not grind-fests. Like Fallout.

Conclusive proof against this FUD: It's a very impressive game that's rewarding on many different levels and can be tremendously appealing for any number of reasons.

Guild Wars is not an MMORPG, its more like Diablo ...

it's between both. mmorpgs are using instances more and more. that's basically what GW is. everything is an instance. you have still hang out with lots of ppl in the towns and guild halls.

World Of Warcraft is one of the few games I actually regret wasting my money on. It's one of the most booring and hugely flawed games I've ever played in my entire life.

Don't waste any time at that money cunsuming grind snoozefest.

WoW is the best game of last generation. The game is extremely polished and it has a classic "Nintendo feel" of solid gameplay. I loved the exploration, the varied quests, etc.

People say that WoW is addicting like if the game contained some kind of narcotic. WoW is addicting because is so much fun and some players can't self control.

I prefer Guild Wars artistic style and PvP system, but saying that "WoW sucks" or "it's crap" is just plain ignorance.
