[QUOTE="jangojay"][QUOTE="AzatiS"][QUOTE="loco145"]"World of Warcraft's community continues to grow, recently hitting a new high of 10 million subscribers around the world. In the three years since the game was first released, the way it has been embraced around the world has far surpassed our expectations, and we're grateful to all of the players who made that possible. We just wanted to take a moment to share the news, welcome the many new and returning players who entered the game over the holidays, and thank all of you for your ongoing support and enthusiasm."

Man youre working for Blizzard or what?
To reach 10 million subscribers but half of them have their accounts frozen dont mean anything really. Now dont run to conclusions, rivals coming soon enough. Besides the fact that WoW got 10 millions subscribers in total, can you say to ppl how many of that 10 million are frozen? Would be nice to know the truth you know :P Marketing these days .....Pfff
They only record active accounts when doing that.
Youre totally wrong here.
Totally... Total subscibers that boldy entered the world of WoW. Even the spot says it clear. Not curently active players. That says a lot to me.
World of Warcraft's Subscriber Definition
World of Warcraft subscribers include individuals who have paid a subscription fee or have an active prepaid card to play World of Warcraft, as well as those who have purchased the game and are within their free month of access. Internet Game Room players who have accessed the game over the last thirty days are also counted as subscribers. The above definition excludes all players under free promotional subscriptions, expired or cancelled subscriptions, and expired prepaid cards. Subscribers in licensees' territories are defined along the same rules.
