XBebop
So I guess according to VGChartz, 420,000 = 350,000, right? Because VGChartz said that the Wii sold 420,000 last week, when they actually only sold 350,000.
Prepared to get owned? Thought so.
VGchartz incorporates US and Canadian sales figures. That means that VGchartz was probably spot-on with their "guesstimate" for 420,000. 350,000 in the US and 70,000 in Canada.
LOL, you think 70,000 Wiis were sold in Canada in one WEEK? The Wii is lucky if it sells 50,000 in one MONTH in Canada. Canada usually sells only 1/10 as many systems as the US. Does Canada even have Black Friday?
Ownage denied. GTFO.
It's quite possible. I don't know for sure, but Canada almost surely has black friday. It is in North America, afterall. Also, sales tend to rise to insane numbers for black friday, so it would be no surprise to see 70,000 sell in Canada in one week. The Wii is very popular, as i'm sure you know. But even so, VGchartz would only be 10,000-50,000 off. That's enough to tell you the current trend. VGchartz is not meant to be 100% accurate. It is meant to give people a decent idea of what is going on in the gaming world. I daresay it does well at its job.
Also, please be more civilized the next time you wish to address me.
You're the one who "threatened ownage." You want to me be civilized? Then don't make your first address to me condescending remark.
No, I'm pretty sure there is no Black Friday in Canada. Would you expect Black Friday in Mexico?
And I've already gone over VGChartz's "accuracy" earlier in the thread. They're terrible at it. They miss the mark by tens of thousands of units every month, and during high sales months, they miss the mark by HUNDREDS of thousands of units, like they did last month. Sorry, that's not a "decent idea" of console sales. Not even close.
I only trust VGChartz for its historical data, because AFAIK they "correct" them to match official sources.
