I want to say GTA4, but no one would buy it, even though that game was crappola... so, instead Ill say lost planet.... and it deserves extra hate because someone actually thought of designing bad gameplay from 1996 into the now gen, meanwhile Actraiser sits on a shelf somewhere with a mountain of dust.
I forgot how bad AC1 was. It was literally repeating the same missions over and over and then doing an assassination. The graphics and crowds were impressive at the game but other than that t was AC2. AC2 however changed all for the better and redeemed the series for me.[QUOTE="BPoole96"][QUOTE="Z-Fatalis"]

Then it wasn't really a bad game as such, just a repetitive one. It did some things very well, and bad games don't spawn a whole saga of games
Sorry, I should have used disappointing. Playing it felt like there was so much untapped potential. Luckily AC2 fixed everythingI forgot how bad AC1 was. It actually put me off the series, I had to be persuaded a lot to get AC2
What? there was no "series" when it launched so how did it put you off it?

Agreed. I started the series with Brotherhood, then went on to AC2, then AC. I was simply flabbergasted by how awful it was compared to AC2/AC:B. What's sad is you aren't joking, you literally are doing the same missions over and over, just in different cities. That's just terrible game design.

1. He played AC1, after AC2 had already came out
or
2. He played AC1, and had no interest in future sequals
#2 happened to me. I got AC2 as a present though, and played it a month later, and it became one of my favorite games this gen.

Oh yeah, Duh! :P Now I feel dumb. Anyway carry on
Duke Nukem Forever . The game is broken, >painguy1No it isn't. It is perfectly playable from start to finish. Some of the gameplay elements are archaic, but it is certainly playable.
It's a toss up between Duke Nukem Forever, and the first Resistance.
They may be the two worst FPS games ever made.

Dude what?
That was far from a bad game let alone one of the worst.
The story was really good, gameplay was solid, MP was enjoyable and had up to 40 people which was a big deal at the time.
What parts of it didn't you enjoy?
It's funny people will post Call of Duty or Resident Evil when there's games like Bullet Witch, Vampire Rain, Rogue Warrior and other broken unfun games with no fans.
F*ck that Mafia 2 was a crimeITT: People mistaking games that let them down or were disappointed over vs. actual bad games.
Anyway, RE6 maybe from the small parts I played. It was like trying shave my balls with sandpaper. I haven't played many other bad games as such. F3AR was a pretty crap game compared to it's predecessors.

halo 3 odst! what a lousy game on other note, ive played a few more ----- pd0 and duke nukem forever!

Perfect Dark Zero gets way more hate than it deserved. Sure it may not live up to the name and have some issues, but it is still a good game with many features from the original that I miss a lot in todays slew of FPS games.

opinion stands , game is Lame its just eye candyGod of war 3. King_DodongoYou know, I'm usually the first to jump on about how God of War 3 has a terrible, terrible plot and how the game really doesn't have a reason to exist, but seriously, worse than the likes of Duke Nukem Forever and Sonic 06? Or the many games out there that are even worse than those two but I'm forgetting?

IMO from the ones I played, the fans of that franchise (if they happen to exist, poor souls) expected something more of an evolution, instead, they a worse version of the muddles franchise, and the only improvement was "moar graphix", can't speak for the other games (I'm sure those are bad from watching videos) I relly shpuldnt haveplayed Gow3 but unfortunately I lost a bet in which I had to stomach playing the entire series, including the PSP games, nothing worthy about it at all (I hate the character overall, appears to try to be mature but being the exact opposite instead)

A twelve year-old's idea of maturity.

I'm pretty forgivable when it comes to bad games but Splinter Cell Double Agent really got under my skin. The game really frustrated me and I never played a game with so many glitches it actually got to the point of making me mad. Here are some issues I had with the game:
-my character got stuck inside the level numerous times throughout the game which forced me to restart to the last checkpoint
-files/saves got corrupted in the middle of the game multiple times which forced me to restart the levels
-something events didn't triggered after completing the objectives which also lead me to restarting the levels
-cutscenes froze(on my screen it will still in-game but nothing is happening)
-graphics are really outdated and what suprised me was Chaos Theory looked 10x better then Double Agent; plus artifacts appeared multiple times on the screen
-awful shading in the shadow graphics actually interfered with the gameplay because I literally couldn't tell where the shadows were and where enemies could spot me
-ditching the old stealth interface with the new (green, yellow, red) made it harder to determine how close you are about to being spotted. Combine this with the bad shadows in the game made this playing through this game a living nightmare.

PS: I actually finished the game :P

The story was really good, gameplay was solid, MP was enjoyable and had up to 40 people which was a big deal at the time.
What parts of it didn't you enjoy?
The entirety of it.
The gunplay was bad, and only made worse by the gun variety, and design. Nothing about the guns offered anything for dynamic changes in gameplay, or allowed you to change up your approach to any encounter other than the auger, but that only ever really amounted to camping behind a wall, and shooting through it which wasn't in any way a fun way to play.
The enemy AI could also manage to notice you, and shoot you with pinpoint accuracy, from great distances. This made many encounters frustrating at times to deal with.
And then there were the unforgiving checkpoints which, along with the previous two points, again made for an awful time.
The level design was generic, and also terrible at times. Often times it was just knee-high walls which barely provided cover, and this only exacerbated the problem of both enemy AI sniping you with machine guns from 100 meters out, or better yet the auger, and the terrible checkpoints.
Overall the game screams generic, the game design is awful, the story is bad, and the main hero is laughable, but even more laughable is how when you play co-op the 2nd players' existence isn't even acknowledged.
As it stands there are FPS games out that are worlds better, but they reside on other platforms.
Worst game that I have played this gen: Dragon Age Origins. Repetitive micro hell with bad characters, banal setting, tonnes of filler, no pacing and a story I couldnt care less about.
Worst gaming related experience that I have had this gen: Playing the Uncharted demo. God that was beyond awful. I played it 4 years ago and I still have the awful taste left in my mouth after that. Easily the worst experience I have ever had in my life.
... Wow, you people really need to play more games. Worst I played was probably Orion: Dino Beatdown, Nier, Yar's Revenge or War Inc: Battlezone. Think I'll have to go with War Inc: Battlezone. Although I'd have to say Modern Warfare 3 is also right behind all of these. From what i have played Max Payne 3, too many cutscenes for my liking.
MK-Professor
Yeah, Fable 2 was pretty damn bad also. Can't say I played anything from this gen that was completely broken or utterly abysmal.
But I did play APB at it's original launch and my god that sucked ass. Also I despised Fable 2.
I hated Skyward Sword too, but I guess I can see why people like it.

Orion Dino Beatdown sounded so awesome on paper lol. Sad how much of a mess it was
But I didn't pick a triple A scoring game.. :oPeople will always pick some triple A high scoring game over actual bad games.
