You're missing levels from mafia 2. jg4xchampIndeed, but the level most vivid in my memory was when I was literally doing chores.
Oh wait, I almost forgot the level where you were loading boxes...
You're missing levels from mafia 2. jg4xchampThat reminds me, Mafia 1, PC version only (they nerfed it in the Xbox version), the race level. That level was so finnicky and cheap. I hated it with a passion!
A lot of the areas in Wither 2. That horrible boring mining town, where all you did was run from fetch quest to fetch quest. One of the most overrated games of all time. Ugh.
The Fade in DA:O. Terrible in every way. Main reason why I can't be bothered to replay the game anymore.Â
Last level of Battlefield 2: Modern Combat. What the hell were they thinking?!
CoD BLops
I borrowed the PC version from a friend, installed it, started the campaing, pressed ctrl + alt + del the second the game wanted me to hold a button to drive a car, uninstalled it, returned the CD and never touched CoD since then.
If you're playing on PC there's a mod that lets you skip the fade altogether. You still get the stat increases though.A lot of the areas in Wither 2. That horrible boring mining town, where all you did was run from fetch quest to fetch quest. One of the most overrated games of all time. Ugh.

[QUOTE="jun_aka_pekto"]The on rail section towards the end of Crysis 3 was horrific as wellOn console or PC:
This. Ascension. It was waaay out of place for the game. At least give me some real control and aerodynamics so I can dogfight properly. Ho-hum even for me.
Â
I hate rail sequences in general. But, this is the worst one I've seen yet.
BPoole96
Yup. As a consolation..... At least, I felt like a real gunner in the Crysis 3 one with all the wild maneuvering and having to lead my targets. Ascension, on the other hand, was truly depressing.
If you're playing on PC there's a mod that lets you skip the fade altogether. You still get the stat increases though. Shit, I'd love that. Unfortunately, I'm just a dirty console peasant :([QUOTE="001011000101101"]

i know i've mentioned this before but it has to be every part of the rubix cube level in God of War 3
nothing about it was pleasing, from the waves of enemies, to the level design, to the escorting
raging_user
agreed. F^% Pandora.Â
I'd say Assassin's Creed 1 and 2 just a whole bunch of combat at the end of both games.Â
Most tutorial levels. "Press the _ button to jump over obstacles." How stupid do these developers think we are? Granny_Spanked
far cry 3 blood dragon was pretty intolerable for the 1st five minutes or so b/c of that

i realize they were making fun of other games, but when i had to go through that thing multiple times it went from funny to super annoying.Â

multiple times? how? it only occurs oncei played the trial multiple times before buying it.Â
the exploding snot bubble level from Metro 2033.Â
The levels in ME2 where you fight endless waves of husksÂ
The first stealth room in the Museum in Uncharted 2 where it doesn't tell you where to go and getting caught results in mission failure.Â
OH! OH! OH! that part in uncharted 2 where the village gets invaded by bad guys and there's a tank and stuff. i wanted to throw my controller at the TV. matter of fact, the latter half of that game just made me sigh in frustration whenever i saw an enemy, because i knew that i'd spend the next 20 minutes in a gunfight.BrunoBRS
this. Second half of Uncharted 2, was super meh to me. Level design was terrible.
l feel like lm the only one who likes Uncharted 3 more
The chapter in Uncharted 2 where you have to follow Tenzen through the ice cave... So boring and completely pointless from a gameplay perspective.
Also the intro level and the museum were awful for the same reasons... Those are just excellent examples of bad game design.
Dragon Age: Origins - The Fade and The Deep Roads
Dragon Age: Origins is probably my favorite game of this generation ,but these two levels made every playthrough feel like torture. The fade was so annoying that I actually started using a mod that skipped through it because I disliked it so much. I couldn't help but feel bad for the people playing it on consoles who actually had to suffer through it every single playthrough. The Deep Roads wasn't as bad ,but it was so boring and unnecessarily long. The deep roads shouldn't have been nearly as long as it was. As soon as I realized there was going to be another deep roads level in Dragon Age 2, I almost felt like crying.
Dead Rising -Â Everything
I actually never finished this game because I got so annoyed by the game design. The concept of everything being timed was really cool ,but it quickly got annoying when I'd be unable to do the main storyline because I couldn't reach people in time.Â

Call of Duty  Black Ops- Nuketown
Spawn. Grenade. Die. Spawn. Grenade. Die. Spawn. Grenade. Die, repeat x50
Halo 3 -- Cortana -- One of the best Halo campaigns to date marred by an abnormally terribly designed level.
Dragon Age: Origins -- The Fade and The Deep Roads -- As much as I enjoyed them the first time through, they're pretty annoying on repeat playthroughs.
Call of Duty (whole series) -- All of the over-repetitive slogs found in this series.
Metro 2033 -- D6 -- Brilliant game overall, but this level, creepy as it was, was unbearably difficult for no good reasons.

I also liked UC3 a bit better than UC2.

Damn... how did I forgot that one?
Guess I hated it so much I wiped it away from memory... yet now it's all coming back to me!
[QUOTE="caseystryker"]That was in Brotherhood. And I found it quite easy, actually. You just had to move slowly, stay behind cover all the time, and pop out quickly to shoot.True, it wasn't hard once you figured out where everyone was, but the thing that made it suck so bad was the arena battle at the end and if you messed up at all, you had to redo the entire mission from the beginning.I think it was Assassin's Creed 2, or maybe it was Brotherhood. Either way it was the level where you had to drive that stupid wooden tank and in order to get full syncronization you had to not take any damage.Â

[QUOTE="nintendoboy16"]The turret segment in Dead Space.Stringerboy
I still don't know why people had problems with that. Beat it first time.
Dude, the aiming was stiff as all hell. Rogue Squadron II (also III if you count the co-op) did turret segments better, and that was a GameCube game. The dragon sections of the opening in the Wittcher 2 are terrible. As are the stealth sections. The opening has very schizophrenic gameplay elements that pretty much, never show up in the game ever game.
the entire prologue of TW2 is atrocious. made me give up on replaying it.The dragon sections of the opening in the Wittcher 2 are terrible. As are the stealth sections. The opening has very schizophrenic gameplay elements that pretty much, never show up in the game ever game.

I agree, however it is worth replaying. Even in the prologue section you can see alternate plot points in action. Unlike overrated titles such as Mass Effect, you do effect gameplay and story fairly significantly.

Rogue Squadron II (also III if you count the co-op) did turret segments better, and that was a GameCube game.I think what made it so difficult was a lot of people were going for the "Don't Get Cocky, Kid" trophy where you had to beat it with over 50% of your shields remaining. Otherwise it isn't very hard.Â
I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned the water level in Uncharted on Crushing. It took me like 15 attempts to beat that.
Tomb of the Giants in Dark Souls.

Don't agree at all. It manages to make the enviroment intimidating as well as the enemys themselfs.
Fear, the unknown and all that crap.

It's pretty terrible but at least it's over quickly.  took me over 3 hours to get past  a pair of 3 minute segments.I disliked Metro 2033, but that made me hate it with passion
