Would you still buy a console if exclusives didn't exist?

I think they're only a hassle if you actually install Geforce experience and allow it to make really crappy settings recommendations lol.

Its just one extra step you have to deal with that doesn't interest me. Imagine if you had to tune your car every time you wanted to drive somewhere, would be annoying.

I wouldn't buy a console if no exclusives existed. I would play all my games on my PC. Exclusives have always sold me on a specific console.

Its not just a simple one click. There might be a couple different settings too high that totally screws up the frame rate. Its hard to know what the fully optimize settings are for your hardware.

Instantly. Exclusives is a terrible idea that robs others from playing said game just because they dont have a certain console. By having 1 universal console that plays all games then EVERYBODY will be able to enjoy the games.Its greedy,selfish,and anti consumer for a game to be made for just 1 console when others can run the games as well. If 1 universal console wont happen,then games should release for all consoles. The company who made them will make far more ???.

you dont have to deal with Graphics settings, there normally preset, there an option to change based on preference, I wish console games had options, maybe some games on consoles could be set up to run at 60fps then.

Form Factor ? its 2017 now, there are small factor PC's that are not much bigger than the consoles.

To be honest, yeah... Though, it's not that hard to work out, especially with boards posting spec/performance info. I much prefer that versatility, though I understand people who aren't into it. My biggest annoyances are probably fps dips and poor FOV, which consoles can suck for.

@thehig1: For Persona it would be fine, dunno about Bloodborne though. The margin error on parry/dodge in soulsborne games is already short enough, nevermind trying to stream it.

Yes, becuase PC games are no longer being well optimized, and have many issues, a console is cheaper, and you don't have to worry about your machine having a good performance on game for the next 6-7 years

Got XBONE for Halo series. Then Picked up the PS4 Pro for Quantic dream game once it arrives, Horizon, Uncharted, Persona 5, Infamous & so forth. Have a PC for everything else.

People may not admit it but Exclusives are a massive factor when it comes to the typical Games Console surviving these days.

There's not much difference in graphics between games anymore on PC and Consoles and with Xbox Scorpio coming out and it will be a lot cheaper than building a PC why the hell would you want to game on PC

No. If all games were on pc, I would not buy another console. I'm not buying a Scorpio because I already have two machines that can play the same games (X1 and PC) and had I known about Play Anywhere, I wouldn't have bought an X1. If Sony went the same route, I wouldn't buy another one of their consoles either. Same with Nintendo. I'm not talking about a streaming service either. I'm talking about releasing the games natively on pc.

Personally, I kinda wish it would happen. It would be another $1000 or so I could spend on games as opposed to additional hardware required to play the games. Thank you MS for making me not need your console to play your games, I appreciate it, I truly do.

I dont use PC anymore. Tablet is better for web browsing, PS4 is better for gaming and entertainment. I do have my 12" laptop somewhere in the closet in case I need to do something for work quickly, but outside of that I dont even have a PC at home. Its a working tool, using it as an entertainment is pretty vintage in 2017.

Since there are no exclusives then that means every PC exclusive is now available on console.

I'll buy the Most Powerful console with the best network for sure to get the best Multiplats and online play possible.

I'd consider a PC if I can walk into a store pick up a PC with a Nice Form Factor, UHD BluRay and at least a GPU equivalent of what ever the most powerful console is at the time for $400-$500.

Probably not, what's the point? I might have bought a handheld that could play all the games my PC could (in lower settings mind you).

I don't really enjoy playing games on the computer as much as on dedicated game systems, so my answer is a definite yes. I also don't have the money to buy a high-performance PC that can play modern games, and wouldn't want to have to upgrade my PC to play newer games when with a console they kind of ensure all of the games they release for it will be optimized for it.

As someone who has a PC hooked up to a gaming projector and uses a Xbox One controller to play most games... F*** no.

No reason what so ever. Sure it's nice having newer tech for disc's. But I rather buy a dedicated player like an Oppo... Which is built just for movies. Having apps is pretty much null any more. Since everything has them now.

So yeah... No reason, unless your poor or can't physically build your own PC.
